Staff.. About 2014 Prospect Theo Pinson...

He is the #1 overall ranked player for 2014. He is a 6-5 SG as a freshman... I think he will only get better and remain the #1 overall. I know Cal has shown an early interest, but my question is... is there a scholarship offer already on the table and if not, do you think he will offer one soon? I don't see the need to wait until his junior year... we are facing big-time competition for this kid.

I know that I read an article yesterday inwhich 2014 target Wayne Selden said, "it's an honor to have an offer from a school like UK". It wouldn't surprise me to find that Pinson (wonder if he's any kin to Vada?) has an offer also. I'd say that, at any rate, he Selden and Center Dakari Johnson will probably be at the top of Cal's 2014 list.

I had to dig back in the archives, but I knew I'd find it... it appears that 20 months ago, I was onto something when I started this thread. Sure, he was only a freshman at the time... but at 6.5 (then) and with those kind of skills, I knew he'd be on Cal's radar.
It's good to know that word is finally getting out about this kid... and we should hear more and more in the near future.
He may be my number one pick for 2014.

I read the first couple responses in this thread and was like, "what is going on?" hahaha then I saw it was from 20 months ago.
I am a little surprised that it took UK this long to get in on him but he is talented and very, very versatile although I don't think he's the top player in the class.
Going to be tough to get him out of Carolina IMO. Even for Cal.

Once upon a time, not so long ago... I was indeed a VIP member. I had to give it up for awhile for various reasons. Hopefully, I will find reason to rejoin soon.
As for Theo... I agree with you. He's top notch for sure... and we will be darn lucky to lure him to Lexington.
Btw... you can delete this old thread if you like. I just wanted to dig it up to prove to myself I wasn't dreaming or going crazy... and to pat myself on the back. haha
However, I see you have the latest thread (with the latest scoop) on Pinson, so deleting my 20 month old garbage will be completely understandable.
