Suggestion to TCP Staff... Football Forum?

I think it was J. Drum's idea a while back to get rid of our "football only" forum... due to a lack of board traffic, participation or whatever.
My question (or suggestion) is... now that we are beginning a new era with Coach Stoops and with much more excitement building around our football program (not to mention, the traffic and excitement on this site as well)... CAN WE BRING IT BACK? (a Wildcats football forum that is)
We can call it "Stoops Troops"
I really don't care what the name is... we just want our football board back.

As explained to me, it was a move strongly suggested by 24/7. Jeff, being their employee, broke the news and supported the suggestion. I would love to see the old forums return.

Thanks to all who support the idea... with a show of force (and by asking nicely), maybe Big Blue Santa will get us a "UK Football Forum" for Christmas.

I've never understood why there isn't a free board and a pay board. Would make things much easier for VIP and non VIP members.

Mainly because our message board technology allows for both free and premium discussion the same thread. No need for it.

No "need"... "WANT"
Every other team site I've visited has a "football only" forum for their members... not because they "need" it, but because it's something their members "want". They will do whatever possible to keep their members happy... by offering a variety of options, features, forums, etc.
Not that you guys don't offer a lot... and we appreciate all that you do. This site has come a long way.... and it's obvious that most of us enjoy this site over others. With that said... what's wrong with asking for an option that most other sites have? Those who live and breath football and prefer an ALL FOOTBALL forum, would much rather have that option available here on TCP... instead of having to go elsewhere (like a rivalry site). Seems to me that the TCP Staff would prefer that as well... if they're serious about growing this site and it's memberships.

There is a need for something because good threads for NON VIP members about public topics are consistently ruined by VIP posts.

It's a 247 thing. They believe that it allows for greater interaction between the VIP members and nonmembers. While that is true, it isn't necessarily true that the VIP members care to talk with the nonvip members.

In a desktop setting, I liked all the different boards, but when I'm trying to keep up by mobile device, which is more and more, one board works a lot better than two or more.
