Drennon is considering becoming a January enrollee, yes. Which makes him that much for of a desired target. I also felt a lot better before Texas entered the equation, but I think UK has a chance. I would say top two, top three. Hyde was really working him at the All-Star game from what I was told.

That's great news about Hyde being in his ear. Can't hurt at all. Those two together on the line would be very nice!

Josh, any word on if Hyde was in Bivens ear at all? I'm not holding my breath, but would be awfully nice if Hyde could help flip him. An up hill battle no doubt, but I'm an optimist!

And on the Bivens topic, any body have a clue what happened to the rumor of his brother playing here?

Patience, my eager football junkies!!! All will be well..when JD gets back from Bora Bora or wherever he went on Vacation. In the meantime..Myself, tWhit, and WildcatDawg22 can keep up busy im sure.
Our recievers will be SO much better this year...not only just because the wr's will have better positional instaruction from Pat Washington...but we have Demarco Robinson ready to be our new Craig Yeast...Daryl Collins will get the tough, stick moving..take a hit and hold on catches...and Rashad Cunningham brings size and speed at 6'4 225 and 4.45 speed. RC ran a 10.8 100m in high school...thats insane for his size..hes probably faster now. Then you have AJ Legree (whom I absolutely love) and Demarcus Sweat coming in...lets not forget Bookie Cobbins and Jalen Whitlow too.
Also..our wr's will be better because the timing will be there...and our running game will be better. When you have balance..you can pretty much pick and choose your spots to challenge a defense deep, I cant wait. Max Smith...going to a gaggle of speedy jitterbugs mixed with athletic long striders and tall, physical NFL bodied wr's. Running back will of course be by commitee..as is should be in the SEC. Clemons, Williams, Sanders, George...Mobley and Taylor waiting eagerly. DJ Warren will be much improved in his sophomore year. Ronnie Shields, Kendrick, Aumiller, and Tyler Robinson will factor in at TE.
Cant forget the big uglies...Darrian Miller got just enough snaps last year to be prepared to play at a high clip this year..I say line up Warford beside him...the SEC's best guard no matter who says what. Matt Smith is a very good center. THen you have Zach West and Kevin Mitchell on the opposite side.. Teven Eatmon Nared needs to get his butt in gear.. we could use his size 6'7 335 and quickness at OT..or OG..he was a te in high school. John Gruenschlager is a 6'11 340lb massive pillar of size..I hope one of the frosh like TJ Jones, or Jordan Swindle can step in and overtake Mitchell..nothing against the kid..but with his size strength and quickness...Mitchell has never really pushed himself while at Uk.. Hes down from 320 to what..288? Thats not good news IMO unless hes gonna be a pulling tackle.(lol) JOrdan Watson, Zach Meyers, Trevino Woods add depth..and I look for Shaq Love to be a major piece of our O-line puzzle going forward.. a 6'5 300lb former DT has the nasty streak in him that all good O-Liemen have..hes gotta be tough o have ever projected as a DT..

I see Max Smith playing surprisingly well..he'll make some NFL throws..a lot of solid SEC throws..and a dozen or so bonehead true sophomore throws any 19yr old kid would make in the toughest conference in college football. I see 64% 3,200 28tds...7 ints or something like that.

Something doesn't seem right with a few prospects.

1. AZ JC LB Larry Butler III - He claims a UK offer, but was cut from his last JUCO team. Why? Is he not worthy of the offer or are there underlying issues? Also has offers from other SEC schools and interest from LSU and Alabama. I also didn't think we could take guys that had attended two different JUCO's. Something to keep an eye on.

2. GA WR Tyree Harris - He was waiting on a UK offer, but that does not appear to be coming. His top two are Mississippi State and Wake Forest. He plans on making a decision soon and my belief is that it is is Wake. That means he turned down offers from State, Clemson and Missouri, which makes me wonder if he had all of those offers that he claimed to have. Possibly makes UK's standpoint more understandable as a fan.

Are you basing your posts of anything other than your opinion/wishlist? Or do you have some information? I just ask because I have read in numerous places that some of the kids you mention (Skai Moore for example) have very little to no interest in UK. I would be stoked if that weren't the case.

I'm super confused by what Georgia is trying to do, since they are trying to do exactly what the new SEC rule tries to prevent. I don't think UGA used their full 25 in 2012, so maybe if they have early enrolees (December 2012) they can count them against the 2012 class? Regardless, the AJC guy keeps saying that UGA will "sign" around 32 players, but I have yet to see a valid explanation of how. I thought the new SEC rule was no more than 25, no matter what.

Anyhow, I think they are around 25 since Dawgnight this past weekend. I would be very nervous if I were a recruit committing to them - could be asked to greyshirt.
