T-Jones with a monster game

  • – 24 and 12 for the Rockets in a 99-89 win over Portland tonight. That's 16.7 ppg and 7.3 rpg through four games if you're scoring at home.

    – Marquis Teague really struggled for the Bulls tonight: 8 points on 4 of 17 shooting (!), 1 assist (!) and 6 TOs (!) in a 79-74 loss to the Celtics.

    – Michael Kidd-Gilchrist sat out his second consecutive game for the Bobcats.

  • Without doubt, TJ is the most impressive rookie in summer league play. I hope the success is a springboard for him to work harder and amp up his game. He's athletic with a great skill set for his size. If he can continue to improve his handle and outside shooting, he's going to be a very, very good pro with a long career. Right now, there have to be several GM's second guessing themselves.

That's a helluva line for TJ. Hope he keeps it up and it translates well when it's not fellow Summer Leaguers. Gotta hope Teague gets settled down.

    Keep Calm & Stoops On..

  • Perhaps most impressive about the numbers overall as well as this game in particular is that he did it on a team with 103 forwards.

Poor Rockets...no one told them you only play 5 guys on the court...
