TO COACH BROWN - My nephew is a GREAT WR in Cali 6’2” 200 Lbs.

  • Last Friday he caught two touchdowns and threw a touchdown on a lateral. He was put in for one defensive play when the coach figured the opposing team was going to run a fade rout to the corner and he intercepted the ball in the end zone. They won the game 35 to 34.

Dan regularly catches OVER 10 passes a game for over 100 yards and multiple touchdowns a game. This is Dan’s senior year and he is relatively unknown because the coaches would not give him a chance to play much as a sophomore and junior. The coach is rethinking that decision now.

Coach Brown at UK recent contacted my brother by e-mail asking for film on Dan. Let’s talk this up so Coach Brown gives him a serious look.

  • Who are his other offers and what is his star rating?....................sarcasm

lol You know someone is going to b*tch about one or both of those things eventually.

    Big Creek Cat

  • Interest from San Diego State and Sacramento State, Orgeon and Oregon State.

No star rating as you might expect as he is an unknown commodity.

Yea if he can catch the ball he probably is wasting his time coming to KY, we don't play WR's who can catch the ball, i.e. Mellilo & Adams.

  • He can definitely catch, but looks slow for SEC play.

    Jared Bonshire

  • He has great hands and can catch it with people hanging on him. From what I have seen, he has better hands than anyone who starts for UK other than King.

40 times and all that are way over blown in my book. Some of the greatest receivers in the NFL were very slow of foot but they all had great hands. You can make people run faster but you can't teach "great hands".

I will take the kid who can catch the ball and beat the team with 4.4 speed. The difference in most teams is that the great programs have 4.4 guys with great hands.cheers

Thanks mrhotdice. His strength is he can leap really high and catch the ball. He is getting faster and now runs a 4.6 40 but I think he will get to a 4.4.

Dan has always been the best athlete on every team in any sport he has played. I have seem so much film on him I am telling you he can catch anything thrown his way.

  • Yeah he looked good catching the ball and showing awareness along the sidelines. I will agree with Jared though he looks pretty slow. Very slow on the initial takeoff. Of course like has been said there are a ton of 4.3 guys that cant catch and several NFL guys that are closer to 5.0's than 4.3's. Either way good luck to the kid.
