Obviously some of you are ready to jump off a cliff over this. Yes it does hurt a little but not a major catastrophe that some of you are making it out to be. And those of you saying that this means that Tee has no faith in Joker, you are way off. You obviously never listened to Tee's comments on Joker. Tee did this for his wife and family, plan and simple. Joker will get someone to fill the recruiting role and someone who can coach receivers. I think everyone can agree that a receiver coach was not Tee's strong suit. To say we will no longer get players is just laughable. Seems to me we have had some very nice players come through UK in the last few years prior to Tee Martin. I wish Tee and his family nothing but the best and I look forward to seeing who Joker brings in to fill the job.

Tee could be on a staff coaching for the national championship in a couple of years. Still, it sucks for us so as everyone has said, we need a home run with this next hire. Not just an up and comer but someone with a name that recruits will know.
Damn, what a freakin' story to wake up to.

To the people who are being critical of Tee as a WR coach due to the performance of UK's WRs last year.....you're crazy. You do realize he had absolutely nothing to work with as far as SEC talent goes. He had lightly recruited 2 and 3 star players, many of which didn't even play WR in high school. You're gonna knock him over the performances of guys like Brian Adams, Gene McCaskil (with a rebuilt knee), EJ Fields, Matt Roark, ect..... Most Sun Belt programs have a more dynamic WR corp than what UK put on the field last season.
All of the talent at WR is in the upcoming sophmore and freshmen classes....you know....the classes that HE was responsible for. He brought in Darryl Collins, Rashad Cunningham, Bookie Cobbins, Demarco Robinson and Jalen Whitlow.

How about next season?
USC is loaded. They have the top quarterback in the country and athletes all around him. They have Monte Kiffin coordinating their defense. What is not to like?
Tee is moving on up to Hollywood. It is a great career move and the Big Blue Nation ought to be happy for him. He gave us his all while he was here.

I think you were referring to another post of mine.
As far as Rick Minter goes, he did join the staff in late November, 2010 and National Signing Day was a little over two months away.
My problem is that so many on this board were so very critical of Steve Brown, saying (among other things) that he couldn't recruit. Rick Minter was the head coach at the University of Cincinnati for TEN years and yet, he has not landed even one player from that rich hotbed to come to UK last year or this year.
Very disappointing! Southwestern Ohio is a natural, fertile recruiting turf for Kentucky and needs to be developed by someone. It doesn't look like Minter is up to the task.

I never understood why people lie on a message board to try to prove a stupid point. But once again it happens here. Minter was brought in on December 16th, not late November. Not a big deal, but why lie about it. I was actually there at his first practice as it was open to the public at the Nutter Indoor Facility.
Here is the article to prove it.

Either way, he came here to change the defense around and thats all I care about. Brown couldn't coach or recruit and that is why the fan base wanted him gone.

Lie is a little strong.
My intent was not to give false information. I missed it by two weeks. I was at that practice as well and my apologizes for not getting the date exactly right. I didn't have it on my calendar, I am glad you had it on yours and were able to correct such a blatant twisting of the truth.

He never called Cobby any names, you called the guy a liar...over missing it by a couple weeks. Just attack the post, not the poster.
I like Minter but agree with point he is trying to make. For a guy with supposed major connections in the Cincy area we have yet to see the benefits of these connections. Not sayin we wont...just haven't yet. I think what he was trying to say is that Minter seems to be given a pass so far for a lack of recruiting impact while Brown was getting hammered for not being a string recruiter (which BTW was key in sighing several kids) and make no mistake about it, Steve Brown is an excellent position coach. I'm really hoping that Cassidy will Minter out in Ohio.

Tee Martin to Southern Cal?
