funny situation. Jody Demling leaves the CJ and will be running the UL scout.com site. So the guy who used to run that one comes over to 247. Or maybe that one happened before the first, who knows.

haha, on that note.. one of the most annoying things I will ever hear to this day (outside of Rocky Top) is the God-awful cards cheer. I'm sure that's been discussed ad nauseam and I just missed it... but surely those hayseeds aren't so stupid as to not notice that it has no rhythm to it, has too many letters, sounds terrible, etc. etc. It's like the hot girl with a mustache... you know she looks in the mirror every morning and sees it... why doesn't she do something about it? Why they don't come up with something that isn't a blatant rip off of the CATS cheer and at least sounds decent is mind-boggling.

I joined the Cats Pause in 2004 and have been following my man JDrum around ever since, so I can safely say I'll be around for a while to come if he keeps up his predictably awesome work (you too Matt, Chris, et al.). What's more, I'm a season ticket holder (OMG A LOUISVILLE FAN THAT HAS SEASON TICKETS TO UK GAMES?!?) and a regular donor to the K-Fund outside of the required "donations" for my seats, so don't try that mickey mouse move of making me out to be a tards fan.

If you are too obtuse to see the interconnection between UK and UL, then that's your problem. I don't think anyone here is "talking" them up (for example, the underrated coaching jobs thread is a thread about how ludicrous that UL is on that list, which is the EXACT opposite of "talking them up") and it's absolutely ridiculous to say we shouldn't compare one to the other. They are our rivals. Do you know what a rivalry is? Do you know how rivalries come about? By teams comparing themselves against each other and arguing over who is better. Do you know WHY there is a thread about the marketing budgets of the two schools? Because UK FANS are miffed that our commuter college RIVAL spends more to market their joke of a team than we do. If you don't want to hear about it, then simply (emphasis on simply because it is a very SIMPLE solution) don't read. I don't much care for basketball. If it weren't for UK being awesome at it, I would never watch. So guess what? When a basketball thread pops up, I don't read it.

Finally, you have your opinion and I have mine, and you're absolutely right about that. Now, if you'd care to highlight where I said you shouldn't express yours, I'd love to see it. In the meantime, you'd save yourself a lot of time and effort (and a lot of credibility while we're at it) if you didn't go into threads that you don't care about and tell other people they shouldn't care either. If nobody else wanted to discuss it, as you seem to think is the case, there wouldn't be a thread, period, much less multiple posts within it. Your post is a clown post, bro.

My credibility? HAHAHAHA ok Mr. 40 posts...in which half of thone are talkin about loserville. THIS IS A UK SITE! Its fine tobhave discussions about our rivals. Especially if we are engaged in recruiting battles for the same players, upcoming games and so on, but we are talkin about threads about loserville getting a 247 site....that has absolutely ZERO to do with anything you mentioned in your post.

We are creeping up on the kickoff to the season, key recruiting targets, the future of our coach, and serious core of young talent....yet we have a thread about little brother getting a site.....yay! Hoorah for them....

I was one of the first 6 members of KI...BEFORE Drum, BEFORE Fish, BEFORE Matt....a site that was all about UK (90% football btw) all of the time....so i guess im just used to UK football fans actually talkin about UK football. And NOT talkin about how "ima football guy first" while posting on threads about UofLOL "247"...and yeah....the Damn pun was intended.

LOL the fact that you want to judge my credibility by the number of posts I have (which, not that it matters in the least, reset when I switched over to 24/7, but was still well below your thousands... must have a lot of free time) coupled with the fact that you took the time to read the forty I have on here tells me all I need to know. While I appreciate your... ummm.... protectionist (?) approach to these boards you clearly hold so dearly, at the end of the day, people are going to discuss whatever they feel like is pertinent with complete and total disregard for how you feel about it. I suggest you get used to it, as it's not limited to message boards.

Tommy... I started this thread simply because I thought it was interesting to see "Louisville" on 247Sports. When I found it, I just wanted to pass it along... the purpose was NOT to have in depth discussions about UofL football, basketball, or anything else in specific. Having said that, it's only natural for fans to have thread discussions about their biggest rivals... especially, their "in-state" rival. If you go to Dukes site, I'm sure you will find Tar Heel threads... and vice versa.

We kick off our season against the Cards (and soon)... so who else should we be talking about right now anyway?
