The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

  • I was just correcting the post that said we beat 2 of 3 when it was 2 of 4 and bad teams. The defense improved a lot under Minter, no question but I have no faith that UK can become a defensive force in the SEC. We will be best served with balance and in my opinion a passing offense makes us more competitive because we do produce more high quality D1 QB's than pure athletes in the Commonwealth.

  • Ryan Tydlacka should probably be the MVP for the year. The kid is absolutely great. If we had better blocking and coverage and could let him punt instead of doing so many soccer kicks his numbers would have been off the charts. I have no idea why people were booing. Did they think Roark was going to be a passing QB?

You could absolutely make a case for that. And if the defense was stronger, his contributions would be magnified even more. How many times did he pin someone inside the 10 this year, only to have them out near midfield two or three plays later? It happened again Saturday, so we tend to lose sight of what a great job Tydlacka did.

I definitely should have put him in the good section. That's why I ask you guys for contributions! thumbsup
