funny how hindsight our fans tell us that TN was horrible... before the game all I heard was how TN was going to stomp a mudhole in our chest and that because they needed this win to be bowl eligible that we would get trounced by 21+ pts... that same "gawd awful" TN team is pre-season top 25 this year despite returning 20 starters from last year.
IF they were so gawd awful last year and have an absolute horrible HC why are they being touted as a top 25 team this year?
Truth is TN was a decent team that had issues and should've won that game and was the favorite. I'm tired of the excuses for TN and people ignoring the fact that we had so many injuries. It's flat ridiculous!
I enjoyed sitting there at the game and listening to some young couple from TN talk about the whooping they were going to put on us, to hear them cry and pray asking why they couldn't stop our offense, to hear them sit in silence the final few minutes with tears streaming down their faces and the look of shock and pain in their eyes as we yelled, "GO BIG BLUE!" and stormed the field!
stop nitpicking that victory and embrace the fact that Joker ended another streak!

Finally, I ask the same of Joker and that is... pick up where YOU left off by starting this season the way you ended last season. To win against the Cards, much less any SEC team, you MUST think outside the box the way you did when you ended the streak. Being the underdog, we can't rely on the typical Joker playbook... we need excitement. The fans love it, but more importantly, the players do... and they thrive on it. When the team "feels" the excitement from the fans, it pushes them to pick it up a notch... they find gears they never knew they had and they play with more confidence.

I'm sick of hearing about the Tennessee win argument. They were 5-7. A below average football team. If it wasn't for that streak who cares. Yea we had a receiver at qb but it isn't like he was throwing it all over the field. We played better our last few games and maybe we will continue to improve.

The positive is we won. Other than that we beat a team with a losing record. If not for the streak who cares what the name on the Jersey says. Sure I wanna beat Louisville and. Florida more than others Tennessee included. But to act like we beat somebody good and that one win defines our season is absurd.

Very true. The Sunshine pumpers and the LOD basically feed off each other. I'm starting to realize that and just post my opinion and not trying to get into arguments with anybody. And by the way I'm completely done reading any threads that have to do with campus infrastructure, budgets, upgrading facilities, bonding and the like.

Thinking about how we ended the streak against UT...
