This team is what bad recruiting looks like

  • Through the first 6 players, Kentucky has more talent than anyone else in the SEC. By far. Where the problem lies is with the fact that this team does not have good "team chemistry". It's not that they're not good players, they are, but for some reason they don't take coaching very well. If they did then what happened @ Tennessee, and @ Florida would not have happened. They are not listening to the coaches, and are not willing to do what it takes to win, which is make the personal sacrifice for the benefit of the team.
Every once in awhile you get great players assembled together in one place, but the team turns out to be less productive than it would appear that it should be. That's just bad chemistry, nothing more, nothing less, and sometimes it just happens. This team has some great players, individually. But as a unit, with some team cohesion, it is sorely lacking. It shouldn't be, but sometimes, like with this team, it just is.
And not that we should give up on these guys either, but overall, with all of the parts it has at this moment, this team is just a bit better than average. That's it. Some of the parts just do not fit well with the other parts. That's all there is to this.
