Ticket Prices on these forums...

  • Anyone else find it insulting and greedy of people to post tickets for sale on these forums, asking $800 a PIECE for tickets? One thing I did like more about the old site is that they limited ticket sales to face or below, so at least you weren't getting screwed by what you would think are fellow fans.

I already have my tickets, but would like to invite my parents to come as well, and who could justify some of the rediculous prices.

    Rant over, sorry.

It's called capitolism.... But I agree. Scalping shouldn't be allowed on these forums.

  • I don't mind paying a little extra to cover ticketmaster fees, paypal fees and maybe postage but the rest? Come on this is a forums, take it to Stubhub!

  • Supply and demand. I have no problem with it. People have a choice as to how much they spend.

    Keepin in fresh since 1986.

  • I have no problem paying a few extra dollars to cover fees/shipping if necessary, etc... but obviously some of these people (such as the guy above selling multiple books of tickets for $550-900/book) are just pricks buying up multiple books of tickets to resell with never any intent on even going to the game.

For those of you who have never watched it, you should go on youtube and watch the 4 part documentary on the english company that is the equivalent to stubhub/ticketsnow, and how they are provided tickets directly from the promoters to events to sell to the customers directly, and the promoters take 85-90% of the take. Because of this, I personally refuse to ever purchase tickets from ticketsnow, or any of the other second hand sellers, when they are receiving primary tickets directly before the public even has a chance to purchase them.

    Taken care of.

Jeff - Matt? If I am wrong about this let me know. Have E-mailed Jeff.

But I am pretty sure the original rules did not allow Scalping. Click on the rules now and they are from Virginia Tech.

  • I'm going to have the best seat in the house- on my couch! We looked at going over in Houston last year, but I'm not too excited about sitting in the upper arena in a huge crowd when I can see great from my home. For free.crackwhip

  • Definitely no scalping allowed on the site, but be sure to check with us first about a link because there could be official sponsors on the site offering deals that could look like an individual scalping but isn't really the case.
