My gut tells me UNC, but a lot of the comments he's made seem to suggest UK. Maybe we're reading too much into those, but I kind of feel the same as you about those coach comments. Then again, could be misdirection. I dunno.
Right now, I'm gonna say it's as close to a 50/50 as I've seen in a while. I'll say 51% Heels, 49% Cats.

To me, the coach comment seems to indicate UNC. Roy has been at pretty much every one of Williams games the past two weeks. Cal was at a different event last week, but seemed to focus on Young and Wiggins this week. Can't help but think Cal sees a little bit of one of his all time favorite players, who also starred for The Family, in Young's game. He's a much more finished product than CDR at the same stage, but he is wired to score just like CDR was.

I think it's just a matter of Young commanding everyone's attention right now. Cal knows he's done all he can do on Troy Williams. His recruitment is wrapping up, whereas Young is just now beginning.

That was also with a UNC site. It may have been a slip or it could have been just Boo saying what he thought was possible and he mentioned UNC because he was talking to a UNC writer.

^who knows. My final guess is UNC, and if we get Young we get the better player. I know Jeff disagrees, but I don't think Cal views it as doing everything he can...I think he found a better player.

all the smoke seems to be with UNC right now but I'll say if Cal thought Young was the better player or the better fit I think he'd be offering him before Williams even decided. Young sounds like the better offensive player but from everyone who's seen him he has no defense yet where Williams is a terror on the defensive end. Think we'll be fine getting either one.

Could be. I think Young is a tremendous scorer, no doubt. Better overall player? I don't know about that. Young reportedly has to pick things up off the court, too, so it's a big-time gamble if your theory is true.

Exactly. Williams competes like MKG on D and hits the boards hard. He's a long, bouncy 3 that Cal has always been in love with. You can do so many things with him.
Personally, I'd be greedy and go after both. LOVED Young at MPLS.

I think i'm going to bed. My dream: Get Young and Willams. Wiggins stays 2014.
unrelated note for JDrum: What do you think of the Steelers draft? I rate it a solid A. Can't believe DeCastro fell into our laps. Then getting Adams in the second round could be huge. may have just added a few years to Ben's career.

Definitely got the impression from talking to him in Hampton that he hadn't really made up his mind. Not all that surprising and probably a good move to hold off.
Here is my question: if you don't know yet, what's the rush?

Can Williams shoot at all,or is he more like MKG? We do need shooters..I have read and heard that he is not much of a shooter but has a non stop motor..You guys that have seen him can probably shed some light I'm sure..
