I think any additional early commitments will come from out of state prospects, primarily those in the South. There is just so much negativity bombarding in state prospects, so I think any additional in state players considering UK will wait and see how UK looks this fall. Meanwhile, some of your prospects from the deep South just hear less of that on a day to day basis and view an offer from UK as a chance to play in the SEC.

I do agree, the thing is how much in state talent is there to make you a winner ????
If UK could land every top 10 player in the state would not be enough. Three 4 star players and 7 3 star players would be nice, but it would not be enough to take that big step up the SEC ladder.Jeremy Grey ●

The largest concentration of elite football athletes in the Commonwealth, year in and year out, is in Jefferson Co. Like it or not that is the truth. Yes, there are sprinklings around the state from year and year but the best athletes and the best football is played in Jefferson Co.
Sadly, because of UofL any gains UK makes are minimized due to the relationship that school has with the community, particularly the African-American community. Until UofL is marginalized and we can keep the elite instate athletes from looking elsewhere...UK football will always face an uphill climb. There is not enough talent in this state to support two programs, let alone an elite level SEC program. The population numbers and demographics just aren't there.
