Josh, hypothetical question. If we hired Petrino what are the odds we could get the Trinity trio?
Good article josh. Could be an exciting:crazy/hectic time if the hammer falls.
I think it's pretty safe to assume that if the current staff is let go, 90%+ of UK's commits will end up elsewhere. The truth is, only a select few in this group have any business whatsoever signing with an SEC program. This group is far and away ranked last in the conference at this point in the recruiting rankings.
Minter - you lost all credibility with evaluating recruits after your "Harmon can't play in the SEC post" last year. Your about 90% inacurate and about 85% full of it. The talent we have coming in now is why all of Brooks recruits left town. Don't you get it? At least 3 of Brooks coaches never left Lexington. It's amazing what happens when you have a full staff of recruiters.
It's over, bro. Time to move on and turn to the next chapter of UK football. The Joker Era is winding down for good, and it's not because Brooks was short a few recruiters on his staff.
Are assistants signed for one year or two?
Although I think many hired as a head coach would want to bring in "their guys", I bet many would not be too put off if Summers has another year on his contract.
Hopefully, that would at least keep our OL commits on line.
Anyone know? I'm too lazy to try and look something like that up. :D
Maximus, does your harsh and unnecessarily mean post make you feel good? It certainly makes you look bad.
Thanks for the advise Jim.
I just have a real hard time with people who bash the players and the recruits. Rip on Mitch and Joker all you want. They are well paid and deserve it. Just don't bash an 18 year old kid who you have never met. Those kids chose to come play from my school and to try to make it better. They don't deserve it.
Maximus, I fully agree with you about bashing the players. In fact, I have a great deal of sympathy/appreciation for them and their effort in a season like this. However it is my opinion that the admin, and to some extent the staff at UK should take some heat from those of us who have waited a lifetime for a sustained winning program. There is no excuse for UK being a "one sport" school. Lots of universities are good at both money-making sports.
