Hope he has more fight in him than Qua.

I don't know if I'd call him a Huzzie clone, really.

Qua was listed at 205 coming out, and really should have been groomed as the heir apparent to Danny at Will, IMO. He never had the size needed to fight through blocks in the middle, or the frame to grow big enough to. He looked pretty maxed out last year, bulk-wise, and I think he was only pushing 220.

Thomas, on the other hand, is listed at 220 now (who knows if it's true, but he looks like it on tape.), and would hopefully be able to add another 10-15 lbs. For what its worth, he's listed at 230 on Rivals and Scout, and 226 on ESPN, so he's probably in the ballpark. He seems like a much more natural fit in the middle than Huzzie ever was, to me anyways. I'm no coach though.

Let's sign him up. We need a good middle 'backer of the future, and he looks like a good candidate. Plays downhill, seems to get off blocks well and has some pretty good short area quickness.

Wow, what an offer list. That's the kinda player we need! According to ESPN, Thomas had 160 tackles, 6 INTs, and 10 forced fumbles.

Qua is no quitter. He got recruited over and dropped down a level so he could play. Nothing more.
