UK has offered Butch Jones....

Seems like a decent option. If it's true and he jumps on board I will fully support him. Should help UK recruit Cincy/Ohio also.

I am going to wait to hear a cofirmation from UKAA or Jones himself before I get all hot and bothered about this. I like Jones, he is 3rd or 4th on my list and I think he could win here but just because we offered him, does not mean he will be our next coach.

One thing I like about Jones is... he's great behind the mic. He interviews well, knows how to work the media and most importantly... represents his program like a champ.

It would take a while to get used to that Michigan accent...

I read on Bearcat Nation (SB Nation like) that it, (the people who made the story) would be 100,000 to 1 chance that Butch leaves Cincy for Kentucky. Kentucky is the 1 %

Dwayne peeves, uk spokesman, says uk has not offered jones the job.
This may be butch jones trying to get Tennessee nervous and force a quick job offer out of them.

If UC fans think they can keep Jones for long, they're living in a pipe dream. There is no fan support, no facilities and no money. Jones to UK, might be a better move for Jones than for UK. He will double his salary, live in a much nicer town, and his face will be on national TV almost every week.

Butch Jones makes a world of sense, if your the UK Admin. I've stated a case for him to be the next HC in a number of threads.
IMO, He's a very solid candidate that would win the BBN over in short-order. He gets it...Same way Coach Cal get's it. Both are Creative Thinkers w/ Dynamic Personalities.
He's worked w/ much less & made lemonade from lemons. He's comfortable being the face of a program...Working the circuit & doing all the outside glad-handing & hobnobbing.
Plus Jones has a staff of talented coaches w/ the recruiting in-roads to areas UK must mine for talent. Just so many positives w/o the tarnish. (and I'm as Pro-Petrino to UK as anyone!)
