At the end of the day, it's silly to rank a recruiting class based on the number of kids in the class (rivals.com has that in formula). Both schools are knocking it out of the park thus far. Both teams have put themselves in a position to close very strong down the stretch with some game changing 4 star players. We'll see how it ends up.

UL will sign a small class this year (due to a small number of seniors leaving) and will suffer accordingly in recruiting rankings. However, UL will likely sign higher quality recruits than UK, we'll just have fewer of them this year (UL avg recruit ranking: 85.77, UK: 82.70, although this could certainly change in UK's favor). With that said, Stoops and Co. are hitting the trail hard and are positioning themselves to sign a good class; certainly, these are exciting times for a UK football fan.

4 star Charlie???? That class is not impressive at all considering they just came off a victory in the Sugar Bowl, Cholly signed a new contract, and they are bound for the ACC. I'd consider it a big whiff especially considering Quick was basically gifted to them. The kid was never going anywhere else. If they whiff on Hatcher and he comes to UK instead then thats a big time miss considering the circumstances. UK and Stoops are picking up major steam on the recruiting trail. Ohio is gonna like a home base. Bridgewater is set to go pro after this year. UK is in good shape with both Barker(UofL once though to have a good shot) and Gillins. Bonnafon could be great but I doubt he's Bridgewater. Bolin will be solid but he's probably got a ways to go. Max Smith and Towles will be seasoned QB's in the years to come. I'd be a little bit worried especially if we find a way to beat that ass in Commonwealth come September if I was a UofL fan. Plus they're finally stepping up to what I would call high major football. The ACC won't be cake city like the Big East. Certainly don't see them getting back to a BCS with Bridgewater out of the picture and playing in the ACC. Not to mention that UofL is still not out of the woods with Cholly leaving. You bet your ass if UF opens up he'll be gone.
