Yup you won. Congrats. Although it is a double edge sword for UL fans. If Strong goes to the Orange Bowl this year, there is a good chance he will be gone next year to a better program. Enjoy it while it lasts, because schools like UL and UK both will always be hard pressed to keep a good coach that doesnt have ties or historic loyalties to the program.

Not trying to sharp shoot you, just keeping it real.

I'm not trying to rub salt in wounds, like some Cardinal fans, but you were doing good 'til you made this statement.

Tell me, honestly, when was the last time UK had a "good" head coach that was poached by another football team? I' m racking my brain, and since Bear left to a dust bowl in Texas, I can't think of a single one. And don't count Morris, either, 'cause he was ran off by Mitch who wanted his own guy in the job.

(psstt... By the way, Charlie isn't going anywhere after this season. Maybe in another 2 or 3,but not this year. He wouldn't leave before seeing the real fruit of his labor next year, when we should be a legitimate top 15 team.)

Uhhhh if the UF job comes open or the Arky job and he's offered by either he'll be gone.

It is really hard not to laugh at posts like this. The best he can accomplish at UL is an Orange Bowl, that is the climax of UL football.

And this year UL's path to an Orange Bowl doesn't take them through 1 single good football team. So, here is your Orange Bowl on a silver platter sir.

    Need I say more?

UofL will most likely be in the Big 12 within two years. Strong will stay unless that doesn't happen and I am told it will.

  • Reminiscent of the Petrio Era, UK fans are simply clinging onto the hopes of UL's coach leaving for a bigger job to stay competitive in the series. Face it, UK is going to be major underdogs against UL for at least 2 more seasons, with or without Strong. The true and redshirt sophs at UL have now beaten UK 2 years in a row and are poised to keep that streak rolling through their graduation.

Sure looks like it. I don't care if Strong goes elsewhere. But I think he will.

Strong will stay for 2 more years unless he is offered the Florida job. If we are stuck in the big east after 2014 with no AQ spot then I think he leaves. Until then we will be very good. If we get into the Big12 he stays.....

Ha ha..that's what you hope. I don't blame you. He is pretty loyal to Jurich for giving him his first chance when the SEC schools wouldn't. Money is no object. It will come down to a Big 12 invite.

No, but normally they leave for the bucks. Money here is no object. If we get in the Big 12 as will most likely happen, he stays. If not, he will most likely go.

I was impressed with your QB. Nice release and arm. They should have taken a few more shots down the field.

Bridgewater is a damn good QB.

As for UL going to Big 12 n0t happening in the near future from what I understand. I hope Strong stays at UL until he retires. He's a good coach and it puts pressure on UK.

No, actually they leave for better jobs. Jobs at schools with better programs and in better conferences and located in better states for recruiting.

I've got plenty of clue that UL is not going to be a member of the Big 12 conference. Not now, not 2013, not 2014, not 2015. They just expanded - TWICE! - in the last year, and not with you. Why would they want to do so in the future when you have already been evaluted and found to be lacking, to be just not good enough?

Now scurry back to your Little Brother board full of Insider Little Brothers telling you that it is a "done deal", that you people have a secret handshake agreement that you are on the top of the wish list if & when they expand, that the Insider knows because his cousin's momma's gardener heard Mitch McConnell say so
