  • UK needs to rely on their student staffers, players, Tee, and their GA's/student coaches for song selection help. They'll know what is really popular right now among the college kids. I'm out of the loop on that one, but the wife says "Party Rock Anthem" is big right now. I've thought Jay-Z's "Whose gonna run this town" tonight would be a great song to play in Commonwealth.

  • Here is a couple of mix songs I put together. This time it has a video to it. Its not as good as I would like it to be just couldn't get the transitions right between songs.

  • To have some fun and highlight some of our beautiful Kentucky Women, we could steal from the KISS CAM idea like at Laker and other NBA games... Play the song "Kentucky Woman" (Waylon Jennings and Deep Purple did versions but it was originally written and recorded by Neil Diamond) and show beautiful women in the stands on the new HD video boards.

  • Thunderstruck by acdc. I would do it as the entry music (like ASU). Have a Enlarged Mr. Wildcat walking thru all the other conference stadiums with the beginning of the song as background music. At the End have him stop in Commonwealth, raise his arms to the sky and then do the wildcat roar. Then go live to the Players being led out of the tunnel by Joker. As they enter the field, the explosion of thunderstruck ramps up. IMO, this should follow the film they currently do showing past plays etc.... The song could play during dead periods. (timeouts, beginning of 2nd and 4th quarter). The 2nd half could be big play's from the 1st half (with the beginning of the song playing), then go live to the players coming out of the tunnel being led by Joker.

    IMO, Commonwealth would be loud!!! The students would enjoy this type of entrance as well!!!

  • I think they could do several versions. Have a R&B, Rock, & Country version play a different one during each timeout.

    I also would love to see them have someone like Marcus McClinton create something like his Believe a few years back. Have it show past UK greats delivering intense pep-speaches or cheers even.

  • Two years ago, I was in Athens when Georgia was so comfortable in its game with Kentucky (leading 20-6) that they played Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA" during halftime. Student section was loving it, dancing in the stands on a gorgeous fall night ... That is until Kentucky stormed back to win between the hedges for first time since 1977 by outscoring Dawgs 28-7 after intermission.cool

  • These are a few of the "Metal" songs that would go a long way toward exciting people. As I dont listen to alot of hip hop I can only speak to the metal part. I would also like to see UK bring back the Tracy Byrd "Im from the country" song but change it to "Im from KY and I like it that way" As we had in one of the late 90's basketball seasons. After every TD play Pantera's "Walk" chorus.
