  • It was in the Power Sweep. Well anyways his National Underdog pick of the week was UK. Picked UK to win outright.

  • Steele had us playing in the national title game in 2007 and we lost to uk so we had to suck. Mel kiper also said that he had never seen a coach do less with more then kragthorpe in 2007.

  • uofldynasty, I didn't say you were blown out, I said you were manhandled. If you don't know the difference perhaps you should go back to the BB board where you can boast your FF the year that UK won the NC.

    You OL was manhandled. Teddy was lucky to be able to walk to the sideline after the game. Their D beat him up all day long. Even the commentators noted it several times. I just watched a replay of that game a couple of weeks ago. So yeah, it wasn't a blowout on the scoreboard but ul was manhandled.

  • For all of you that think Phil Steele is a great prognosticator check out this link from him about the preseason from last year and then look at the final poll for last year.

    He claims that Auburn, FLA, Okie State, and Standford were all overrated in preseason polls. Auburn and FLA were both at the bottom of the top 25 preseason poll, They both got "others" vote. So they were overrated by just a bit. Okie State and Stanford finished as good or better than their preseason ranking. Oops, looks like Phil missed on at least half of those.

    He claims that these teams are all underrated in the 2011 preseason polls. #13 Va Tech, #16 ND, #19 UGA, #25 USC. Only USC was higher at the end of the season.

    Now he did predict Houston would do well and a few other teams but after doing a little research he was about 50% from his predictions. I'm not sure if he's come out with this year's over/under rated prediction.

    I'm not sure what his percentage is for every team's record or ranking for every D1 team. I just looked up one of his preseason stories to see how he really did with the poll prediction.

    Just skimmed the awful Little Brother message board and apparently within the last few days they have had 2 players QUIT the team, one offense one defense. Doesnt sound like the kind of team that has bonded and come together through the heat and sweat and pain of August preparing for the season.

    have stayed out of this back and forth, but you are right about 2007. Kragthorpe should have done WAY more with the roster you had that year than what he did. Pretty much was over before it started I think

    Please stop with the "freshmen team" stuff. That just isn't factual. You lost your leading receiver, leading rusher, your top d-lineman (scruggs) and several other key contributors. You are young, we are young.

    OUr d-line should be GREATLY improved. Ukwu was playing hurt and cobble and rumph were playing in their first real "game" action.

    Both teams should be improved. Because the game is at louisville uofl should be favored. But anybody who is serious should know that the game is a toss-up based on the last 6 years of the series.

    What I can't wait to see is the massive heart attack in Louisville when we ruin your season.

    Luke McDermott started against UL in '11, and Cobble only saw snaps in relief of McDermott.

    Bryce McNeal - Braniac from Clemson who graduated in 3yrs. Rumors I've heard was that he had a poor work ethic in football that kept him off the field a great deal while at Clemson. He supposedly thought our practices were too intense/hard since reporting here and not happy at being 3rd on the depth chart. News broke that he transferred to UofL on Aug 10th. Two wks later he's gone. Take it for what it's worth.

  • Player #2 is BJ Butler who is sulking because he is now running with the 3rd team dline. Just goes to show you how much better the team is and how much deeper we are. Butler played all game against Uk last season and registered 4 tackles and 1.5 sacks....now he's a water boy. Eli Rogers led the team in receptions last season and now he's riding pine. Cant wait to see this board about 8 pm Sunday night. Talk about massive meltdowns. The rumors of canceling the series will be flying everywhere.
