So your baseball coach intentionally went weak against your state rival which gave you the loss huh? Got it! Boy I learn something every day. But you guys are UK and SEC. Shouldn't your "weekday" pitchers be the equivelant or better than our weekend pitchers?.....in my sarcastic tone. ;)

UL has a good baseball program, it's had much better results then either FB or BB recently.
And why would UK burn a weekend starter just for an OOC game? Especially when they have a weekend SEC game that counts towards getting in the Conference tourny.
Lousivlle beat us in baseball, ok, congrats. Maybe we would have beaten you with our starter maybe not, we don't know.

Neither do you. Dont buy into the "saving the best pitchers" for the SEC games. While there is a rotation and obviously some pitchers are better than others...it's just as much finding the pitcher in his zone. Many pitchers are interchangeable on any given day. AJ Reed pitched against UofL. He also pitched against Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Vandy...just about every single SEC game. Petterson pitched against #1 LSU and a host of other SEC games....and UofL.
Reed, Maher, Peterson, Wijas and Shepherd pitched in the UofL games. While UofL didnt face Uk's top 2 pitchers, the same applies for Uk not facing UofL's. That excuse works both ways. Most uk fans read this crap on a message board and run with it because it sounds legit. We destroyed Kentucky and some of their best pitchers available. Get over it. Football is next.

You have my word. Win or lose...I'll be here. Im not concerned in the least. I put Uk's chances at about 15 %. Anyway...straight from the 2011 media guide. We all know how uk likes to fudge numbers to save face. They just cant fathom the thought of trailing any school in any series before canceling it.

No way the Cards are deeper on the d-line than UK. You only have 6 players in the front 4 with any game experience. You're counting 3 true Frosh that have never taken a college snap in that daunted 9 deep you reference. More importantly, you only have 3 interior lineman with any experience. There's nothing but Frosh listed behind Philon, Dunn, and Brooks. UK, at least, has 6 players that have taken snaps as interior d-linemen. Granted, the quality drops off after Cobble, Rumph, and Coleman (though I would not be surprised to see Douglas surprise a few folks this year.)
UK's d-line will fair much better against the Cards this year. Cobble and Rumph are healthy and in much better shape. One or both of those two will demand double teams, freeing up Ukwu, DuPree and assortment of others to get pressure on Bridgewater, and clogging up the middle, limiting the Card's running game.
I think the Card's o-line will be improved, as well, but I like Cobble and company in this matchup. Go Cats!
