We can play that game all night. Last year UK beat UT, who beat Cincinnati 45-23, who beat U of L 25-16. Does any of that mean anything? Probably not. And the ACC was awful last year, worse than the Big East. Did you see the Orange Bowl game?? Wow.
No reason for you all not to be excited about your young team, we just think it's funny how big a disparity most UL fans think is between the 2 teams. We have young talent too...it's our Senior class that hurt us a bit. We are loaded at Fr and Soph and the class coming in next year is looking great. I think we'll see a very entertaining game on Sept 2nd.

Our offensive line was in shambles with injuries from the last few weeks of camp until probably the Miss State game. Mike Summers has all but said that the 2012 version will be MUCH improved.
There is no way Louisville is 17 points better than Kentucky. I think Louisville fans are forgetting that in two years under Strong the Cards have started very slow out of the gate before hitting their stride midseason.
Not saying Kentucky is going to win, but they are very talented across the board although it is young in several areas, just as Louisville was last season. The final outcome of the game will most likely be by a touchdown or less.
Regardless, Cardinal fans are setting themselves up for failure with these outlandish predictions of blowouts. They game will go down to the fourth qtr

Ok fair enough. But if we destroy you by 17 or more....then what? Will there be excuses...or will you own up to being dead wrong and just being that inferior? I cant stress enough how huge it was dropping Mike Sanford as OC. It has been said numerous times our playbook was EXTREMELY vanilla due to all the freshmen. I respect the fact that you believe it will be a game...but I also respectfully disagree. We are better at every single position except the kicking game....maybe. Dispute that? Tell me one position you are better in other than kicking and punting.

Not to burst your bubble (not that I could considering your grandiose delusions) but this ain't your '91 Bama team. Or 1991 SEC.
We are pointing out the fact that UL's Top 25 ranking is based less on merit and more on projected wins and losses. It has to be. There is no way UL could take KY's SEC schedule this year and do better than 2 or 3 league wins. As a result, if UofL could not possibly be ranked in the top 25. There at least 10 better teams in the SEC than UofL and as good as the SEC is, there aren't 10 top 15 teams.
In short, you better check that hubris of yours because being the Big East Favorites is akin to being Conference USA's favorite.

That Alabama team lost 3 of their 4 regular season games by an average of 3 points. The also won the National Championship the very next season. Not too shabby a team. 34-7 Cards. Downplay it all you want, they were a great team. Louisville scored more on the third place $EC team than their final 6 $EC games combined. And held them to their second lowest point total of the season. It was over before it started.

As I pointed out in the first post, I am not sure how something that happened 21 years ago has anything to do with today. But if we are, let's at least get our facts straight.
+ An unranked Alabama was tied for 3rd place in the SEC in 1990 but with a regular season record of 7-4. + Alabama did not win the national championship the following year. Miami and Washington split the AP and Coaches national championship respectively. + Alabama won it the year after that.
But let's take your hypothetical and say that this year's Louisville team reflects the one in 1991. You are saying that Louisville could beat the 3rd best SEC team this year?
We're talking one of Georgia, Arkansas, or South Carolina here. No, like I said before, UofL would be lucky to be a top 10 team in the SEC this year.
No one is downplaying the UofL. We are just being realistic.

Pardon, they finished 11-1 and #5. Georgia, not doubt. very overrated. Kentucky nearly beat them. Arkansas? They will feel the Petrino effect in a big way this season. Mark my words. Petrino was the best offensive mind in college basketball. Arkansas fans are in for a long season. No we dont beat South Carolina....but the other two strike about as much fear in me as Uk does. Honestly. Just being realistic. I PRAY we get matched up with one of them. I would love nothing other...just to humble some mouths.

Just like Uk fans were humbled when they talk about how they would dominate the Big East. Then they go out and get thrashed by the 3rd place Big East team without its head coach on the sidelines in their bowl game a couple years ago. DO you guys ever learn?

Based on your schedule that's 11 games (can't play ourselves) this is how Louisville would probably fare:
Kent State = Win WKU = Win Florida = ?? Possible win/Possible loss USC = Loss Miss St = Win Arky = Loss GA = Loss Mizzou = Win Vandy = Win Samford = Win UT = Win
I see 7 wins with a possible 8th at UF who is down but then it's tough to win at the Swamp.

Please do us all of a favor UofL trolls. Leave.
These two teams are very similar in talent. UK likely has the advantage on the d-line. UofL has an advantage at Linebacker. Defensive backfields are close. UofL has an advantage at qb, uk an advnatage at RB because of depth. O-lines are close with a slight edge to uofl. Receiver is a wash considering UofL lost 4/5 top receivers from last year.
The game will boil down to turnovers and qb play.

I cant tell if this is serious or not. Its hard to read sarcasm. If you truly believe what you just typed then Im pretty much done with the conversation because theres no hope. Running back is one of if not THE deepest of our positions...as is WR's. Our D line completely and utterly embarrassed you last year and that was 3 games in with just about all freshmen. Wow. lol I can not WAIT for this game. Some of you are in for a rude awakening. No offense.

Haha, it is not a fail. Anyways, we cannot play this what-if schedule comparison because if we were to play your schedule, we would need to have also enjoyed the benefits of recruiting for several years that you guys get in recruiting and the dollars you receive.
The fact that we would probably still end up with a 7-4 record or so without said benefits is an important fact to point out. No?
