Cards have a higher per average rating than any other year Strong has been at Louisville. They'll only sign 16-17 players because of limited schollys. Maybe you should do a little homework before you post something. What do you think there?

Yet on this site you only have ONE 4 star commit as of now.

I'm not going to openly mock their recruiting efforts until Signing Day is officially over (they're in the final 2 of 4 big time Florida players). But you guys are right, as of today, they've haven't leveraged any of their on field success into recruiting wins. Very surprising IMO.

And we know you are heart broken.

  • HA HA. Its like he hates to admit it. While the rest of us are freaking loving it.

  • UofL also got transfers in which affect team numbers and which also determined a limit in terms of position.

Even with Quick, their wide receiver core expanded with the additions of Benjamin and Milton - both highly-regraded 4 stars who don't count in this season's recruiting figures.

Same with TE Gerald Christian, transfer from Florida or the interesting Zeke Pike, who no one has the remotest idea of what he brings, lol.

I'd say they did OK, actually, but then I would. biggrin

Yes. Accurate. I'm not sure what the argument is here. Louisville has a higher average per player rating this year than any other year on 24/7 Sports. If they had a full class with scholarships available, they'd be probably ranked 20-35 overall. If you think Hurtt cheated at Louisville, your certainly entitled to your opinion, but there are zero facts to back that up. Similar to Louisville fans thinking Cal cheats at UK...bad reputation, but zero facts to back that up at UK.

If you all are trying to bait me into bad mouthing your team, I'm not going to do it. Stoops has done a great job in his first recruiting season. Pulling Hatcher, Timmons, etc... are great starts to what most UK fans thing will be a big turnaround in the program. I'm not hating on that at all, and think both programs have a bright future.

Their class would be pitiful without Quick. They haven't reaped the benefits of the Sugar Bowl like I thought they would.

Pitiful? We can only sign 15. Only one with a star rating below 3.

Congrats on your class. See you next season.

Actually, Cal has never been accused of recruiting violations. Not one credible story accusing him of recruiting violations.

There are countless stories and pictures and examples and an investigation linking Hurtt to recruiting violations.

nice try. We get it. You're worried. I'd be worried to if there were pictures of my star player and stud recruiting coach with a guy the ncaa is pumping for information.

Yes I said pitiful. All I heard over the last ninth was how you were elite now. That's nowhere near an elite class.

Didn't Zeke Pike get kicked off the team already?

And since when do transfers not account for recruiting figures?

I believe Card fans already used up those transfers counting them in last year's recruiting class.

I guess he forgot about Hatcher and Timmons. Did they even ATTEMPT to recruit Timmons? How about Ryan White? He must be taking some lessons from Pitino.

Check it out. If you see them in recruiting figures, I shall stand corrected.

You'll get right on it, lol.

  • Simply put, Strong and the Cards spit the bit in finishing up their recruiting class. With the most momentum on their side in program history (after beating UF), they didn't leverage it at all down the stretch. They were in on a lot of big time guys, but couldn't close a single one of them.

The story line in KY is a totally new coach and totally new staff at UK recruiting circles around the Sugar Bowl Champs in only 6 weeks times. Simply amazaing. Amazing.

What do you mean? Card fans touted these transfers as improving their class last year and now are attempting to use the same transfers this year to prove their class is actually better than all the recruiting services have opined.

Sort of like how Holliman was counted in two classes, and how De'Asian Richardson will likely be counted in two classes, provided he chooses UL after going to a prep school or JUCO.

I assume DeAndre Herron will be another two-counter when he eventually completes JUCO, should he choose to attend UL again.

I don't blame you guys for thumping your chests a little. We recruited to needs this year and couldn't sell the playing time angle. I like the small class, though. We didn't need much.

I can honestly say that one thing I have enjoyed throughout this proces, the past 2 months with Coach Stoops, is that UL fans are acting as if they now care about recruiting. I live in Louisville, am around UL fans litereally everyday. I will say, they deserve the credit they got for this past season but one thing I have NEVER heard them talk about, other than landing Teddy B, is recruiting. But since Stoops has been killing it, they are now wanting to openly talk about their recruits. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy another part of the rivarly, but I find it entertaining that they seem to always be a step behind, as fans.

Also, they are acting like they could care less about Hatcher and Timmons. I have had numerous UL fans tell me they don't need either of these two. Hilarious to me.

Get to we are now and then think something's funny.... Personally I find it funny that uk fans care about football being in the sec and all. All start worrying when uk wins a conference game and beats Tennessee. Until then laugh on( at yourself if course)

You guys root for the same team. We're on to his Schtick.

In terms of your class. In reality, outside of the bridgewater class, strong hasn't recruited as strongly as some think since he's been there

2 BCS trophies.... Nuff said. Instead of worrying about getting the upper hand in us how bout worrying about snapping the losing streak you have with Tennessee, or is it Florida?

We just beat em two year ago Moron. You Loserville fans are way behind. UT is on the way down and we are rising. The SEC East is not dominant like the West. We can win in the East. We've always played Georgia and USC tough. Clearly UF showed they are beatable. Good luck getting it done in the ACC with top 60 classes bro. I can't wait to see the collapse of Charlie Strong when Teddy Bridgewater turns pro after this year and you guys finally step up to a decent conference. Its gonna be glorious.

Pike decided to transfer in August of 2012. The others decided to transfer in just prior to or after signing day. You know - last season.

Do you have the dates handy for Christian, Clark, Benjamin or Milton?

Here's the signing list for 2012 - I don't see them anywhere. I certainly don't see them in the 2013 recruiting roster.
