Jones isnt going to NJ.

He is announcing his decision on Saturday.

Let me play devil's advocate... the one thing that makes me wonder for sure... It was said UK doesn't hold pressers on weekends. UKathletics sent the tweet out for him. Which COULD give the second best alternative to a UK-designed presser for exposure. And they can't wait until Monday. I'm not saying he's going... I'm just saying just because its via twitter doesn't mean its a lock he's staying.

I feel like he will go because I think he will want to chase the money, I can't say that would be a bad decision.

My opinion, though, is that he is cutting a few years off his NBA career if he does choose to go. He will be rich either way and this doesn't make it any difference usually when kids like Jones are making the decision. I would say most think now first, career second.

I'm preaching to the choir here but Jones has the following gaps in his game-

1) He takes way too much time "off" during the game
2) He can't & doesn't play to the right of the court - he essentially limits the court big time!
3) He still lacks solid block skills which I think he needs to solidify a 4 spot in the NBA

This is just my opinion and I'd love to hear that he is staying one more year as I think it could be the difference between a 5 ot 6 productive NBA career and potentially 10+.

No doubt. People need to realize though that it is his decision and regardless of what we fans think about him improving in college the only opinions that matter are NBA scouts. If he's heard what he needed to hear in regards to making the jump then good luck to TJ. I just find it hard to believe that he'd announce to go pro via twitter. Maybe he does, but like Mike said he'll take a lot of criticism, unjustly, from some fans.

^ I understand that UK doesn't hold pressers on the weekend, however, I doubt Cal would let him announce a decision that he's leaving via Twitter. Cal knows the kinda crap he'd take for it. Also, just because UK doesn't hold pressers on the weekends, doesn't mean they wouldn't release a statement notifying the public of his decision with a presser to be held Monday. That seems like the logical thing they would prefer to do if he were leaving. IMO

I just see him announcing via Twitter, if he's leaving, as epic fail of Biblical proportions. Guess it still could happen.

Anybody else see the pictures he's been tweeting? Throwing me for a loop. Not sure if he's doing this because he's reminiscing his only year at UK or he's doing it because he's excited to continue his legacy. All I ask is that he tweets it early so I'm not stressing Derby day to find out what he decides. 12:01 am is a perfect time IMO.

I think people are reading too much into the method of announcement. IMO, it's just what Terrence is most comfortable with. He's a guy who was burned the first time by a big song-and-dance press conference. This way, he has total control and doesn't have to face a Q&A. He just announces.
