  • I swear I've lived most of my 29 years of life not giving two shits about IU but they managed to sky rocket to near Louisville hate level in my book the past year.   • I just ignore 90% of the IU fans that post on rivals national board. When I read their crap, to quote a character from a video game I recently finished, "I feel my brain cells committing suicide"

    Reckon we can hate on the Hoosiers all we want, but they certainly aren't a "has been" program any more. Most pundits are picking them ahead of the Cats this season, so that's like top one or two.

    Indiana disappeared for 10 years, made the NC game, and them disappeared again. Just because they were good last year and "likely"this year I'm not labeling them back until they sustain it for a few years.

    I went to that same board and I thought the Maryland fans were bad the IU fans may just have them beaten. Crean has done a good job bringing IU back into respectibility and they will have a very good season but I want to see if IU can sustain it over a period of years. I think that the Indiana people handled the Trey Lyles thing very badly especially the media and the fans.

  • Indiana had a very good year last year. If/when Crean can bring in some future pros and develop them, they will be elite again.

    But not there yet.

    They still brag about winning at home, on a buzzer beater, but for some reason can't remember losing in the
    sweet 16 when it was away from home.

    I will be the first to tell you, Indiana and Louisville will be top 10 all year, but neither will play for the title this year, you can get a feel for teams that have a chance and have more than 1 guy who can carry the team on their backs, neither team has a guy like that based off last year.

    I would love to see Indiana get beat quickly and knocked from their throne that they made for themselves.

    If Blackshear stays healthy UL may have that type of player. That's not what will be their downfall in the tourney. Their downfall will be the fact Siva is their PG. Mark my words.

  • There is a reason IU fans are crying about Lyles. He was their main target for 14 and was building around him and now they will be lucky to land a good class for that year and next year for that matter. IU has a good team this year but there is a reason Crean has only been to one Final Four he can't coach. The only reason Marq. went was because they had one of the best players in the world get a triple double and our best defender and overall player had a bad ankle. I think Calipari said it best every coach UK has had except for Sutton, on Billy has won a championship that say's a lot about a program. IU and UL haven't won anything in like two decades and they act like we need to cheat. Just like when Pitino was at UK he was a cheater and that's all other fanbases want to say Cal is a cheater! Even though the NCAA has given Calipari as a coach zero major recruiting violations and the truth is if they had anything on Cal it would have come out by now period. IU better enjoy this year because next year its back to reality for them will be lucky to even make the tournament...
