  • Played very hard. More hustle plays from the TEAM than I've seen all season.

  • Loved the fight in the team tonight. They shared the ball and played as a team. Much much improved! This could be a dangerous team... So many players turned the corner tonight folks!

Props to Goodwin too. He was trying to share a lot more than usual.

I think he is evolving, and this winning is helping!

  • What a difference a week makes!!!! Can't complain when the guys play hard like that, win, lose or draw. It's only one game but there are a lot of positives to take away from this and hopefully build on.

This is where I'm torn. Mizzou has been utter garbage on the road this year. They've only beaten MSU in conference on the road, and they are 2-12. That said, they just beat UF, too....

But for this reason exactly (hustle plays), I tend to be proud of the win. Mizzou played well. UK played well.....UK would have beaten alot of teams tonight. And we couldn't have said that much of this season.

  • WCS played some really good defense and rebounded well.

Poythreus was in beast mode for much of the game but faded late.

Goodwin showed up in the 2nd half

Mays showed how VITALE senior leadership is and was the POG

Harrow played aggressive and distibuted the ball well. He attacked the glass but really needs to work on his defense as the entire team does.

A lot of growth in 7 days. Moved the ball, shared the ball and in the 2nd half shot the ball as well as they have at any other point of this season.

7 blocks for WCS??? Maybe he is King Kong. :-)

Mizzou did beat VCU and Illinois on nuetral courts. Obviously not the same, but still. I think we got Mizzou's best shot and were able to find a way.

Their best shot was enough to beat Florida..... they aren't a bad team. Their road split sticks out at me, but they honestly really played well.

Wiltjer has GOT to understand how badly these guys need him. Thank God for Mays.

Could we get the Wiltjer from 4-5 games ago to show up again? Please...

I'm not worried about Wiltjer. This was not a good game for him match-up wise but if he had to play more I'm sure he would have made some big plays (he did draw a bunch of fouls in his limited playing time which played a big part in both of their bigs fouling out).

But this game turned in Kentucky's favor when they were able to push the pace. Who would you have taken out in order to play Wiltjer? Usually it would be Poythress but not in this game. And what would have happened to your ability to play at the same pace if Wiltjer was in there?

what wiltjer has to do is stop hanging around the 3 point line TOO much...he just stays out there all day unless cal specifically tells him to get in post...hes never around to grab an offensive board cause he's so far out all the time...he should make his post game and mid-range/elbow area his bread and butter and it will open him up to go outside more...he has the ability and skill to kill people in that area...not alot of guys have the defensive discipline to mess around with him all game down there

  • If we can get Alex to play the whole game we will be dynamite...As the man said above he faded late in the game, and overtime..But maybe this will jump start him..He did say "I wish I had been doing this all year"...Let's keep cheering them on..

We actually made our run in the first half to cut their 13 point lead with Kyle on the floor. While he got abused on defense a couple of times he was VERY good on offense. When he's in the game the ball moves and teams are forced to open the lane up. Our "5 out" offense with him in the game is very effective.

Well the thing is that Pressey has been horrible on the road, he was anything but horrible. One of his best games actually, and we still got the W. I initially had the same thought as you, but we took their best shot IMO and still came out on top. Had Orieaki killing us on the boards as well, still won. Complete game by just about everyone and its perfectly ok to be proud of that win.
