WHO Invaded our Locker Room?!!!

    I've never seen this level of "Inspired" football at Kentucky (under Joker).... DAMN!!!! cheers

    Just another in a long line of good effort losses and "false hope games".

    A loss is a loss and nothing changes. UK is 1-4. That is what matters.

    Play hard against a good team, lay an egg against WKY. Just another typical UK loss in the SEC.

    We will all read and hear how we played well for the first half. We will all read how UK had great effort and played hard for a great half of football. But in the end, UK's effort comes up short against SEC teams. If you follow UK you know this ia just a typical game were UK plays good for a qtr or in this case a half and then fail in the second half.

    IMHO, the first half was as good as UK has played in years but again, UK is 1-4.

    All that matters is 1-4 because a hard fought loss is what, a loss.

  • The sad truth is Scar came out in the second half and just lined up and ran it straight at our defense for 5 yards a pop. Can't win if teams can do that.

  • Yeah, well thanks alot to whoever it was on the field in the first half... it was fun to watch.

    The second half sucked. 31-zip ... how does that happen? I just don't get it. huh

  • We've looked pretty good defensively early in the game the last two games. Where that was against Da Ville and Western I do not know.

  • Growing pains... We can argue and blame whomever about how we got here, but the truth is we have a good, young team that will continue to get better... We just have to make sure we don't start back over after these kids get thru, gotta keep bringing in the recruits. Regardless of whether it's joker or not

    Whether Joker will be retained or not is going to boil down to more than just black and white wins and losses.

    They were competitive last night and showed there is a lot of young talent in the program but that they're still handcuffed by it at the moment.

    I too am sick and tired of losing. But for the first time this year, I was entertained, I was in the game. Losing this way to a clearly more talented team is OK with me. Show me continued improvement (like the defense is doing) and am there with the guys.

    I agree with your first two sentences. Giving up 31 points and scoring none in the second half is not OK with me. Go Cats!!

    Do you think looking competitive will be good enough if it doesn't look like the money is going to be coming in?

  • Chris, no disrespect but UK was not competitive last night. The fact they scored 17 first half points against a lackluster effort by USC is not competitive. IMHO, getting beat by a FG is competitive. Getting beat on a bad break, whatever is competitive.

    I ask you this. In fact, I ask the fans this who saw the game. Did anyone think UK would beat USC even though they had a 10 point half time lead? The answer if you are honest is no. UK's defense gave up 31 points after half time and UK's offense scored "0".

    How is that competitive?

    We had a true frosh QB in the game. The defense clearly wore down late. So yeah we were competitive for the most part. Is that good enough for me? Nope. However I'm not near as down on this team as I was. I think if we had a healthy Max Smith we would have scored enough points the last two games to be even more competitive. Is even that good enough for me? Not really. We are finally coming out and playing with some emotion though which we absolutely must do to not get ran off the field against top teams.
