We're getting spoiled IMO

  • Amazing how many high-profile prospects we have at this point, I keep thinking that every single time i sign on that some big name has committed. Love this feeling, puts some serious energy into this 50yo body.

    Going to be one hell of a class when all is said and done. I was going to say it's been years but in all honesty it's been decades since there has been this much energy around the program. You young guys are lucky, I'm just pumped.

  • Getting ready to turn 58......agree with you about the energy and positive direction in the program....not seen it in my lifetime (except maybe the late 1970s). Enjoy the ride the next few years. It is a joy to see good news regularly from the Football AND the Basketball programs. I live in Florida but plan to get season tickets this next year anyway. If I can't make all the games, I will make sure the tickets go to someone who will be there for the game. Good post rob65....

  • My expectations are extremely tempered to the point that I ultimately expect to miss on almost all of these guys but might swing a few.

    That said, I love the effort and can't wait to see the results when Stoops and Co actually have the time to recruit these kind of kids for a year or two.

    Thats probably the best mindset to take. Although I suspect you'll be pleasantly surprised. If we pull a couple 2 or 3 of JoJo, Woulard, Samples, Senat, Alexanders, Hatcher, Hearns, McWilson, Reed, White, Taj Williams plus another couple under the radar but solid guys I'll be completely stoked. But like you I'm taking the wait and see approach.

    Absolutely! I like our chances with McWilson and maybe Hearns so far just based on Josh's comments. You've got to think we are in the thick of it for Reed, too. I don't expect to get shut out, but I think the dream of having twelve 4 star guys this year is highly optimistic. People recruit those kind of guys a long time, and our staff hasn't had it while the previous staff didn't even try.

    What UK basketball is doing in terms of recruiting is spoiled. Not sure getting 4 star talent is spoiled.

    Heck, it's a state university. I would expect KY to have good football team. Just because they haven't been good in the past doesn't mean much, because they should be decent.

  • There is no way any UK football fan could ever be spoiled with all of the BS we have gone through over the years..I have been following since the early 60's and this is as excited as I have ever been..There is hope..I just hope we can get to some big bowl games while I am still healthy enough to travel..We are not spoiled,we are due..
