Imo this wouldn't be a genuine act because there really isn't anyone on his team (coaches or staff) that really knew Mr. Wildcat (maybe Darius) and with so many young players, I doubt they understand or realize the admiration for Mr. Keightly thus it wouldn't be anything other hand a possible distraction as stated above.
Sadly, that would only be something for the fanbase...the older sect at that. I just don't see any benefit from doing somethin like that for a game this big with so much emotion already.
I hope my post isn't taken the wrong way. I think Mr. Wildcat was/is a collegiate sports treasure and imo all Mr. Keightly would want is a big blue win over UofLOL.
Don't think the NCAA would allow it even if we wanted to. As the higher-seeded team, NCAA rules say we have to wear home unis ... not aways or alternates. Baylor petitioned the NCAA to wear a different uniform (the highlighter yellows) against us and the NCAA turned them down. They're very strict on uniform changes during the tournament.

Good thought, but not today. Today we go to war with our cross-state rival, and this game is the most important game that Kentucky basketball has ever played. Not only is this a "loser-go-home" game, but this game is definitely for some major bragging rights in addition to who gets to play one more time this season for a national championship.
It does not get any bigger than this. While folks from the outside my just view this as a game, the fans of both Kentucky and Louisville look at it a little differently.
I believe this particular game is going to help take this rivalry to another whole new level for the future.

Would that be inappropriate for the game today?
Love the thought.....But, I think Tommy and a few others have made great points. As poignant as that would be for the BBN, the youth of our team and overbearing NCAA would overcome that argument.
That being said, as I've posted many other times, "As long as UK wins, for all I care they can play in jockstraps and a light coat of oil".

If I remember correctly they auctioned off those uniforms for charity. But knowing Mr. Keightley a little bit the last thing he'd probably want is the team doing something for him on this stage. Just wasn't his style.
Actually, he would probably want us to simply crush U of L. That would be enough.
