By looking at his profile, has he ever played a regular season pro game? It reads like he was either released early or was on the practice squads. It seems the facts are, he was unprepared for pro ball and is now learning a new position with the Bengals. I don't think its a knock, he was injured in college, but it would have been a help if he had played a position that he would play in the pros.

What? Their job at KY is to win football games. He came in as one of the top MLB prospects in the country. He played in low level HS in KY. He played a position he was perfectly suited for an played it at the highest level. First team All SEC as a JR when he also got hurt. He made some of the most important stops in arguably the biggest wins in KY history. He got hurt, it happens on football. So he is trying to make it as a DE which is highly unlikely. But he. Was as good a MLB as there was in the country prior to his knee injury.

Quite a bit of revisionist history there.
He was rated as a d-end or d- tackle by scout and rivals. All of the "big" programs recruiting him wanted him as a d-lineman. A big reason he came to uk was to play as a linebacker.
He was very good in run defense but was pretty bad against the pass. The game against Tennessee his senior year was the best example of that. He got abused all game long.

Its an easy question, Did he ever play a regular season game as a pro? Plus I don't care what his job was at UK, I said his pro career might have been better if he had played the same position in college as he was trying to play now in the pros. Read, it does the body good. And in that news about Micah and the GB Packers, was the answer to my question, he appeared in ONE game when he was with Miami.

IIRC MJ was viewed by most as a top DT prospect out of HS and most of the services thought he would be moved to the DL. We got him because of #1. his brother being on campus, #2 close to his family who was stationed at Ft. Campbell, #3 We promised him a chance at MLB instead of moving him to DL.
He had an outstanding career here at UK, but in hindsight, you have to think that he wishes he had moved to the DL in college at least situationally to prepare him for the NFL.

What happened to Micah Johnson?
