What will Cal do?

It was announce that 2014 guard Mudiay is not eligible to play this coming year(junior) at the school he goes to in Texas. Will Cal continue to recruit him since he will miss a year of ball? Also when Aaron Gordon comes to Lex. for his official visit and then decides he wants to come to UK will Cal accept his commitment or ask him to wait to see what Randle does or would it not make any difference either way?

Yes, if we accept Gordon.
He is a top 10 recruit. Probably sell randle and gordon at 3/4.
Then have Wiggins come in later, LOL.
BUt for Mudiay, doesn't that mean he will go play somewhere else?

Im sure Cal has a plan but the Gordon ? was just a what if and still it is a possible outcome although I believe Gordon will now stay west. But make no mistake about it if he comes east it will be to KY.

So Mudiay can leave the state and play in another school system and if so does he have to be cleared by the HS Athletic Association of that state?

Not at a prep school he won't. Happens pretty often with high school kids that are declared inelligible by their states they'll head to a prep school that doesn't compete for state titles and settle there. The only reason he was ineligible in Texas is because of the can't transfer for athletic purposes rule. Not like he has grade troubles or anything he'll likely head to an out of state prep school somewhere where he will be eligible to play because a lot of states don't have that rule.

I promise, Mudiay is the PG of choice for Cal. Others are not. He would take them if he doesnt get Mudiay but he wants Mudiay. I must agree with him. He is special. I'd take him first too. He is bigger and longer style PG. Thats what Cal would prefer if he can get it.
