Tell you what....go back to the first of the season,and scroll through the games that were decided by 14 points or less, look at the participation charts, and let me know how many backup QBs got snaps in those games......
Here is the bottom line-the here and now.
Smith needs to get some snaps and I think he will but the point is that Brooks did not give several backup qbs enough snaps including Fiedler and Moss-who again- was not allowed to come into the game and throw the ball. Remember?
Brooks had a habit of not playing the backups. Joker learned from him and is now learning he should not do that. Because he is quoted as "learning" not to let the back up sit on the bench and not get snaps period.
As most on here know there was a series that could have gone to the backup.
But Joker is not that slow of a learner because he saw Browns prevent, predictable, and laid back defense was a loser.
I hope he sees a predictable and conservative OC is not best for UK either. And this is not a hope I had with Brooks who liked an installed brown and Archer.
