I REALLY like this kid's film. Quick and with a relentless motor! And he's also got offers from just about every major school in the country. That's never a bad thing, either. I want this kid to be a Kentucky Wildcat!

I think that quagmire is on point ,especially about building relationships .It seems to me that Joker being friends has helped in our recruiting .My theory is that Joker has picked Coach Cals brains and has tweaked his recruiting template .
IMHO, Cal recruits first by building and establishing a certain amount of trust with recruits and their parents/guardians.Trust comes through having put in the time building a relationship .The type and quality of the relationship depends on the character of the people in the relationship .When a person with high character gives their word it means something .
Joker seems to be very selective in the type of kids we offer .He can't afford to chase kids that promise (verbal) and then switch at the last minute .Nearly all recruits in most sports talk about going somewhere that they feel comfortable .Most even say it felt like a family .Family is about having a relationship with someone .
exactly. we donot negative recruit we do not push for commitments. we tell even the kids we really really want to make sure that they do what makes them happy in return when they do commit they are 100 percent ready and stick to there word even when the bigger fish come calling ala jordan watson and dupree just to name a couple.
