I don't think UGA can get him, they signed 32 recruits I think, signed 19 last year, I do not know about the class having early enrollees that didn't count, but based off numbers alone I don't think he ends up there, and he did say he would shock the world.
But if Johnson, Lawson and Hearns (I hope he actually does qualify bc that would be great), then this class would be amazing, but the class itself right now is really good.
Yeah..James Hearns would make this class special...another 4 star stud on D. I think if we get either Lawson or Johnson we should be elated. Both are tremendous talents at DT.+1's across the board!! Really want one more 4 star type special player to fill this class out!!

Agreed BB12... Man I wish I could have read some of your posts yesterday, I bet you were pitchin a fit, I know I was... SD was great guys, can't wait to see how it all unfolds a week or two from now. I like Hearns as well but if the kid is truly having issues passing in HS I'm not sure he's worth the risk, if we do land him and he makes it maybe a few "welcome to SEC Football" hits lines him out... GO CATS!
Stoops need to call to Calipari on Elder.

Dual sport star Cornelius Elder spent some time with a basketball coach on national football signing day and now has a timeline for making a decision.
247sports.comSame story with Griffin. Didn't sign LOI because of basketball.
Derrick Griffin Player Profile, Stats, and recruiting information on Yahoo! Sports.
rivals.yahoo.comSome of the recruits have started running together in my mind in terms of who does and who doesn't have academic issues. I know Hearns and Taj Williams are not expected to even come CLOSE to qualifying. What about Lawson? Does he have academic question marks or is he thought to be good to go and only didn't sign with anyone b/c his offer was pulled by LSU so late in the game that he is now having to visit other schools?
I also wouldn't be surprised to see the staff hang onto all 3 spots so the attrition issue can sort itself out. As it stands right now, we have to see several guys leave the program before we can even get all of our new signees on campus. It wouldn't be a bad idea for the staff to get through spring practice before making it even more difficult by signing 2 or 3 guys now. They very well could hang onto those spots for now and then if there is enough attrition, then use those spots to try and sign elite December JUCO grads who can be counted against this class AND be on campus in time for 2014 spring practice.
