Why can't we be friends???????

  • As a die-hard Louisville fan, I think I'm the only one that will say I have unlimited amount of respect for our big brother Kentucky lol. All the great players y'all have produced, great coaches, most wins makes your program stand out. I root for Kentucky every game (except against Louisville) and I hope Nerlens gets better soon

Ps. Next years team ain't no joke. Kentucky is my favorite to win it all and I can't wait for the war in Rupp next year. Good luck on the rest of the season!

  • I'm a life long UK fan and way back before the Cards and the cats renewed the games, The Cards would sometimes play the cats in tournaments. I'm talking about, like in the Fifties. This rivalry is not new. I've always thought its better to have two teams to root for instead of just one. At this point I don't follow UK basketball. Its not UK basket ball. I mean I go back to Hagan Ramsey teams and every one in between. It awesome. Now it not the same.

Football is another story. I love UK football, but I pull for the Cards in every other game they play..

  • This one and done thing isn't something Calipari likes but its the system he has to play within because of the rules. Back in your days freshman didn't play much if any and in those days the NBA was built on what a player could do and not on what would be able to do thus players played all four years of college. Times have changed and coaches have to be able to adapt and that's what Calipari has done, he's adapted and adapted well. I mean yea this years team hasn't been up to par but every coach in basketball has had a year like this one the problem is now he has to prove all over again that his system does work. Next years team will be an awesome team and with a little bit of luck and one or two more recruits our team may just win it all again. Can't wait till March 20th to see if Randle does indeed pick our cats thus making us the odds on favorite for next year and then if Wiggins is up to the challenge come on down and lets see if we can make history and go undefeated..

Yeah, boy that national title last year was a real bummer. Bring back those Ramon Harris, Michael Porter, Perry Stevenson type players. smh

Do not like the Birds, but respect you for coming on here. Thanks to that gave you a bump. Things are changing here at UK. You are correct next year going to be dynamic on the court, and you will see a complete overhaul of the FB program starting next year. We are getting big horses in here to play just like BB.

Hold on, wait........UK has invested in FB and has the staff to not only get them here but to coach them up???

    LOVE IT!

Yeah like you I enjoyed my Billy G days when he would offer 8th graders and players who was suspect. But hey, they stayed FOUR years and we got to know them only too well. And people used to complain about 10 loss Tubby, disgraceful. This coach we have now is useless winning all of those games with new players every year. Tell them footballcat.

  • Im pretty sure footballcat was not talking about the Billy G days. I understand what he is talking about. He enjoyed the old school 4 year players seeing players progress and compete and grow every year. Cal has an exciting brand of basketball but it is different than the old days. I dont think theres anything wrong wtih someone stating their opinion of that. Its great we won a national title, and there is a part of me that misses the days of talking about over the summer "he is going to be a junior/senior next year and be really good" etc. I just hate seeing the bashing of fans for stating their opinion.

I'm a die hard UK fan and I feel the same way as you do about the Cards. I pull for them except against the cats. They are both Kentucky teams. Good luck to you too. If we can't make it, I hope you do well in the tournament.

Sorry, I have been watchin for over 50 years and I wouldn't give up the last 3 years for any of the last 15 years. Suffering through recruiting that was never up to par with Rupp and Pitino, was hard to watch so again if you like it, I respect it, but I don't understand it.
