Will the Blue White game be on TV?

  • It seems every other SEC team has their spring football scrimiage on TV, why not UK? IT would seem to be a recuriting must have?

  • I was gonna be there, but for some reason there are people who apparently get to alter the dates that we celebrate the ressurection of Christ. Seriously...how's does that happen? Are we gonna soon celebrate Christ's birth in July for easier travel conditions?

I hope they don't change it to July as I'm not sure the world can handle the awesomeness that would be JC's and my birthday in the same month. Sensory overload.

  • Not really sure why they don't make a bigger deal out of the spring game. It would have to help recruiting. Watched the Arkansas spring game and they had cheerleaders and I believe the band was there. Maybe someone in the know could shed some light on it.

    In case you are serious

"Both Christians and Pagans have celebrated death and resurrection themes following the Spring Equinox for millennia. Most religious historians believe that many elements of the Christian observance of Easter were derived from earlier Pagan celebrations.

The equinox occurs each year on March 20, 21 or 22. Both Neopagans and Christians continue to celebrate religious rituals linked to the equinox. Wiccans and other Neopagans usually hold their celebrations on the day or eve of the equinox. Western Christians celebrate Easter on the Sunday on or after the full moon that follows the nominal date of the Equinox -- MAR-21. The Eastern Orthodox churches follow a different calculation; their Easter celebration is often many weeks after the date selected by the Western churches."

I wasnt completly serious, I knew some of that but quite interesting. It just seems like Easter has always been at the begining of April and now it feels like its been pushed back six months. Just wierd thats all. Either way, it did prevent me from getting to go the game upset

  • Easter weekend for 2011 didn't just move all of the sudden. Someone at UK planned to have the game on Easter weekend....for whatever reason. Heaven forbid they worked it out so that the Blue-White game would have coincided with Alumni weekend last weekend.

  • My question is why is it not on TV. I thought we were suppose to become serious about or football program in the Joker era? So then we does every other SEC team have their spring scrimage on TV and we still do not? There is only one conclusion really. We just have our act together as well as virtually every other SEC team.

I would think you would have to ask the TV stations why it is not on.

    General fan interest ?
Could they get enough sponsors to make it profitable?
    etc.
