I have some friends down around the Gulf Coast that are prepping for Hurricane Isaac and looking at one of the models it's possible we'll get residual rain/wind from the system come this weekend (it's showing a similar track to what happened in '08 with Hurricane Ike, but shouldn't be nearly as strong). If that happens I'm curious as to how weather will effect the game for us?
My initial guess would be we could greatly benefit from UofL's passing game being neutralized given the stable of backs we have coming into the game.
Just something to chew on as things move along this week. Hopefully it's enough to break the heat on the turf in the Pizza Box and nothing more.
The forecast is calling for a deadly, big blue thunderous storm... with freakish bolts of lightning and mind-blowing, boulder size hail, weighing upwards of 300 pounds (more or less). The Cards have been forewarned to take cover... local weather stations are predicting a catastrophic ending. Louisville will have to rebuild... count on it.
As it gets closer to game time watch the Vegas line. Those guys put a lot of stock in game conditions and a windy, rainy, muddy field has to affect any line that is as large as -10 to -14 points.
Best believe that someone today is checking out the weather forcast and how the hurricane might affect game time conditions for all the games in the South.
Lines will move very quick if they think weather will affect the spread.

Will weather be a factor on UK vs. UofL gameday?
