You have no favorite boards.
And I gave you a +1 for agreeing with him.
I think Goodwin could very well start next year, as could Poythress and Cauley-Stein.. The 2 and the 3 are basically interchangeable in Cals system anyway, so, I could see the Harrison twins along with Archie at the 1,2,3.. I could also see Alex starting at the 3.. I'm not 100% convinced that Harrison will start at the SG spot over Archie or Young.. Like Cal said, should be some serious competition for playing time next year.. WCS would likely start, but, I could see Johnson or Lee manning the post, as well.. IMO, the only locks for a starting spot would be at PG-Harrison and at PF-Randle.. Everything else will be a wait and see situation.. I know most of you have already annointed the freshmen a starting spot, but, I don't see Cal handing it to anyone without giving a long, hard look at all the options..
Harrisons and Randle will absolutely start, as will Wiggins when he commits (that would be awesome, right?). This will be Calipari's second team with some serious depth. I can't wait.
I think that any of the current crop of freshman that stays will have to have come around to Coach Cals way of thinking if they plan on staying. Everyone did not "Buy in" this year like in years past.
Last year with the return of Miller, Lamb, and Jones, they had the leadership that was needing for everyone to "drink the Kool-Aid". Once you drink the Kool-Aid and understand that the team is family...it becomes fun. The lost of Noel was huge this year. Not only was he our anchor on defense, he was the heart of the team. When he went out, the Cats went on life support.
Now, it should be very plain to see that it doesn't matter what your team's rank or your draft status is you have to work together to win.
The sooner you "Drink the Kool-Aid" the quicker the fun returns and so do the wins.
