The NIT should only be used if you have a young team that can gain experience to help the next season or selfishly if have a player or 8 close to a record and want the palyer to achieve it.
Given that each of the primary players for UK will be gone before next year, what purpose does it serve? I guess the school can make money on the home games, so yes they will accept it .
Also UK is now only 16 games ahead of Kansas. Kansas could make a deep run in both the Big 12 and NCAA tournament. KU could close the gap given the remainder of the season and post-season to a difference of 10 games by the start of next year.
So yes, if invited, go.





Would it be so wrong to say "Hell No!" to the NIT?
