At least you're right about one thing.....you really DON'T know anything about Petrino.

* Bobby Petrino has proven beyond a doubt that he is a pathological liar at every stop he's been.

* Bobby Petrino has royally screwed over EVERYONE who has employed him as a head coach.

* While at UaVel, he was caught with his pants down diddling with Bobby Lowder and the Barner contingent and tried to lie out of it.

* While at UaVel, he constantly job shopped while claiming to be loyal to UaVel.

* Ran a renegade program at UaVel that had a good chunk of "student athletes" who were less than desireable additions to the community. Steve Kragthorpe tried to clean it up, but by the time he took the trash out, he was left with a fraction of the talent and it cost him his job.

* Crawled away from the Falcons in the middle of the season without even addressing his team when he figured out the job was a little more than he could handle.

* At Arkansas he thought it would be a good idea to start boinking a grad student that was not only half his age, but who he knew was engaged to another employee in the Arkansas athletic department.

* Hired that same lady into a cushy $50K a year job (with a large "signing bonus" to boot) in the athletic department over dozens of vastly more qualified applicants, and putting the univeristy at risk for numerous lawsuits.

* Lied about not knowing her previous to the hire.

* Thought that it would be a good idea to take this lady on a Sunday afternoon Harley ride without his helmet, even though he was one of the most recognizable people in the state.

* Wrecks the bike, then tried to involve a friend with the Arkansas State Police to help cover up his mess.

*Lies to his family, boss, fans, players, and the media about the incident.

* Uses his University of Arkansas issued cell phone to text nearly 4,000 messages to his sweetie, along with hundreds of phone calls, even though he lied about knowing her before he hired her.

* Used the same phone to send nearly 300 texts to another hottie he knows in Little Rock, along with rumored nude photos of himself.

In summary:

* Best (IMO) play caller in college football.

* Pathological liar.

* Arrogantly stupid

* Just an all around asshat in general.

This isn't the guy that you want to be the face of the UK program.

Petrino has burnt a lot of bridges. He even burns bridges before he ever crosses them. No way to UK.

He will never coach at UK in my opinion. He makes Mike Leach look like Mother Theresa and he was too much for the sensitive constitution of the UK administration when it comes to football.

Plenty of good coaches out there if or when we need one. I still have hope that the Coach we have will pull through and have a long career at UK.

I agree, he shouldnt bash intelligence when he doesn't even know proper English but you are wrong. Mitch Barnhart despises Petrino. He will never coach at uk.

None of the above but I'm telling you Bobby Petrino will never coach at UK. The AD, BOT and President will never sign on for that hire.

He exposed the state university to enormous legal liability and lied to his administrators repeatedly about the source of the legal liability.

Focusing on the moral lapse as his only indiscretion is intellectually dishonest. Someone somewhere may take a chance on Bobby Petrino in the future. If that risk-taker is another university, they have opened themselves up to a world of legal liability due to the public exposure Petrino's actions have garnered.

Tell me what defenses the University will assert when Mary Sue Employee sues the University and Petrino for sexual harrassment. Are you counting on Petrino to never have another moral lapse? Are you counting on the female University employees keeping their mouths shut and construing Petrino's every action and statement as non-sexual and completely professional in nature?

Legal liability is a very real concern with Petrino going forward. That liability will be the reason he struggles to get a job, not any moral or professional lapses in judgment.

This has been stated repeatedly by myself and others, but I'll go with it one more time.

The affair itself doesn't matter. If Petrino had been boinking someone in his own social circle or the cutie down at the local diner, he would still be employed at Arkansas. But instead, he:

* Hired a woman he was sleeping with into a cushy nice paying university job.

*Gave her that job over dozens of vastly more qualified applicants.

*Lied about knowing her previous to hiring her.

*Gave her a $20K "bonus".

*Those actions left the university at risk for lawsuits from the other applicants.

*Tried to involve a friend with the Arkansas State Police in covering up his mess.

*Lied to his boss, family, players, fans and media about the accident as he tried to cover it up.

*Used his university issued cell phone to send nearly 4000 text messages and more than 300 phone calls to his girl friend.

*Used his university issued cell phone to send over 300 text messages, included supposedly some nude photos of himself to another hottie he was "friends" with in Little Rock.

That's pretty much the whole point of this conversation- people get all worked up and push out their chests and say, "not in MY state". But then things change if the person in question is then hired.

What's the old adage? Never say never? I agree that it's highly unlikely that Petrino will be hired, but I'm not putting it past the administration, particularly when they see high level bowl money staring them in the face.

Yeah, to be honest I would take a chance on a lot of questionable guys but not Petrino. Listen even when he was at UL and winning, people very high up in the UL athletic department hated Petrino. He is a crazy jerk. I would have taken Leach in a second but never Petrino.
