any insiders with info...did cal pass on montrez harrell or was he never coming here cause i cant help but think he would have been a huge help on this team...he plays with a mean streak and toughness that only noel played with...and without noel last half of season he woulda played a mjor role i think and he would have been a 2-3-4 year player

I agree he appears to be a role player. HOWEVER, the role he plays could have been a help to this year's team....high energy offensive rebounder & post defender.

Would have been even better if we had gotten BOTH. There was a problem with Wells getting entry though.

Kentucky never got involved, he didn't pass on anything. In fact he wanted UK to recruit him. I am guessing Cal didn't want him taking up a spot from a player in the 2013 class, which was a huge mistake in my opinion.

His former high school/AAU coach is an asst coach at UL..it was a done deal once he opted out of his va tech scholly

Guy gas one good game and we start to ask questions about Cal's recruiting. We had Poythress so all was fine (it wasn't). He was UofL bound all the way.

This. UK showed some preliminary interest but never really got involved for whatever reason.
Harrell is a beast though.

Not true. Keatts was the head coach at Hargrave and recruited him but never coached him. However, you are correct, because of the connection, Louisville had the inside track on his transfer.

Idk who your referring to but if its me I never once questioned cals recruiting I asked what the case was with him cause there's no doubt in my mind he helps win a least 2 games this year...and if we are 24-9 right now we r a lock for the tourney
