A Restaurant that You Want, But Don't Have

Can't be one within 100 miles of you. My choice would have been Cheddar's, but now I've got one. I'd say Skyline Chili over Steak n' Shake now.

Texas de Brazil. I wouldn't eat there often because it is expensive as hell, but for a big time special occasion I would hit that place up. 20 dollar lunch and they just continually bring different types of meat to your table until you tell them to stop. Love it.

Also, a non-chain restaurant I would like is Tomo. It is a Japanese restaurant in Knoxville, TN. I live in Montgomery now and I would love to have one here. Tomo is set up to have regular menu items, but also have fresh sushi. It isn't like a hibachi grill where everything is extremely expensive. It is a smaller place without hibachi. It is open late on the weekend, until 3am, so it is a lot of fun to go out there kind of late and get some good sushi for a decent price. I prefer to go to a place like that for sushi instead of the hibachi style restaurants, but the hibachi style is all we have here in Montgomery.

I could write an incredibly long list as in Ho Chi Minh City we only have KFC (loads), Subway (one), Pizza Hut (two) and Carl's Jr (one) but my favourites would be:

Living in Louisville, we already have a zillion wonderful restaurants here. I'm not sure why the dining scene is so great, but it is. I've only been to Cheddar's once, and it was awful. Bad food, terrible service, and it took forever. I named it Crapplebee's that day! hah.
I wish we had Red Pepper back. It was a seriously authentic Sichuan restaurant. The chef used to work for the Chinese government, travelling to embassies across the world and cooking for foreign dignitaries. It closed about 2 years ago. There's still a decent alternative in Jasmine way out in Middletown, but Red Pepper was special!

A good Irish pub something like The Snug in Boston or Fadó in DC. A Good Pint, Live Music, Pub Grub, and Screens filled with Gaellic Football (soccer) and Rugby.

Kidding... Where is a Malone's? I never heard of it. I would love to have another great steakhouse though.

Malonex is a steakhouse in Lex. Personally here in VA I would like to have a top notch Mexican joint. Not some chain that pushes out tacos and burritos but a real joint with lots of good food, beer and senoritas. Preferably Brazilian as the wife and I both dig them.
It smells like microwaved homeless people in here.

As a side note I would love to have a jimmy Buffets Cheeseburger in Paradise to give you an actual name of a place.

I've been to california a few times. I now live in owensboro, ky. I'd have to say in and out burger and round table pizza.

If I were you... I'd just be happy with Moonlight Bar-B-Q. Wow... I forgot about that place. It's been several years since I went there. I LOVED IT!!! Is it still going strong?

Hell come to Jamestown, KY in South Central KY where Lake Cumberland is. Our county has a population of like 16,000 people and we have 5 mexican restaurants. 2 of them I would consider nice the others are kinda dirty.

It don't sound too bad but it would be a hell of a commute for a chimichanga as I live in southern VA. Now if you guarantee Brazilian waitresses well then we may be hittin on somethin.

Man... My wife and I LOVE a great authentic Mexican restaurant. We eat at one almost once a week here in the Louisville area.

Hey kao, I think you might have a Chick Fil A hidden in Frankfort. There is one at KSU. Granted it doesn't have the hours of a normal mall or free standing unit but it is open during lunch at least.
