I didn't politicize it idiot. It has been since the beginning and it should be. I'm sick of this "this isn't the time to talk about guns" every time this happens, which seems to be becoming monthly. Now is exactly the time to talk about guns in this country. While the result of gun violence is still fresh on everyones minds. Of course you're going to pull that card because that's what the right always says when they don't want to talk about something.

You did politicize it, dumbass. The smell of gun powder hadn't even left the air and you're talking about gun control! What's your solution, genius? Get rid of all the guns? How are u going to do that? Search each and every home and building and car in the country? That's the only way to completely take care of this problem. Is that what you're proposing? Its a total disregard for the constitution so something tells me you'd be all for it. People like you are what's wrong with this country. I'm guessing u like to have your butt pounded.

There are multiple problems with our society that we need to fix and if we are honest about it, there are probably common sense solutions that can be found. To just say this is a gun problem is to ingore all the other contributing factors to a tragedy like this. Yes, there are probably some of the gun laws that need to be looked at BUT until we fix the societal problems at large, the de-valuing of life, a culture that is crass and promotes violence from music, to entertainment to games etc, then we will NOT prevent this from happening again. There is much more to this mass butchering of innocent people than guns!

Mike. People survive knife attacks at a much higher rate than gun attacks. Here's an example. And that is not a solid argument. And for the record you're wrong. The USA is ranked 6th in knife mortality. Japan is ranked 10th.

This guy used an assualt rifle. That weapon has one purpose. To kill people. It's for the military and police. The people that support these weapons being legal and available for the public are just as guilty as the shooter.

I can't believe he's using this sad tragedy to bait a gun law discussion, but what the hell... I'll bite anyway.

"Guns don't kill people... PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE". The way I see it, there should have been MORE guns in that school... an abundance of guns didn't have a damn thing to do with it. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a complete idiot. Maybe if there were more teachers, security guards or other staff members packing some heat, they could have saved the lives of those precious children... by killing the only piece of shit who deserved it that day.

Here's a bright idea... let's all give up our guns, stop manufacturing guns, stop selling guns, make it illegal to possess a gun, etc. Then, there would be absolutely NO WAY this kind of thing could ever happen again... because there would be NO WAY a "criminal" could get his hands on a gun and go on a killing spree ever again.
