  • It's crazy good this year. And yes Nate the Capone beatdown was just the shiznit. The time is getting really close for his takeover. I'm really interested to see how Van Alden ties in there. He's living in Cicero which becomes Capone's base so ya gotta figure they hook up at some point. Lucky and Meyer are getting closer to taking over as well. I have a feeling this might be Rothsteins last season. Rosetti might be what breaks up Arnold and Lucky/Meyer. Nucky's brother is about to come back into the fold I think. I still say he should be dead. There's so much going on this season.

As soon as Nucky offered that kid one of his own smokes I knew what was coming. "You get the message?" haha I bet Nucky hires Richard and his Irish right hand better watch out. He's close to being offed. if Nucky finds out he banged his wife it'll be over real quick.

The chick Nucky is bangin might be the sexiest chick in the world. She's gonna be a star. Watch.

Yes, she is smoking! Can't blame him with that annoying wife of his. She drives me nuts. I couldn't imagine being married to her. IIRC, the Capone beating actually happened and if is the case Torreo is finished. As for Rothstein, I was actually surprised last season when Luciano and Lansky didn't off him. I expect that to happen in the next 3-4 episodes.

Richard is the man! Would love to see Nucky send him to war against Rosetti. I'm interested in seeing how his little bro comes back into the fold. He's damn lucky to be alive. IMO, Nucky's warehouse manager (forget his name) is dead for the current screw up. Can't wait for Sunday.

  • Doyle. I like Doyle. But you're right, somebody is in trouble big time. He was told explicitly to go the back route. I think Doyle is done and either Richard or lil bro takes his place. Jimmy's mom and Rosetti may have something cooking. I get the feeling she won't last to next season. If the show follows history meyer and lucky won't kill rothstein. He gets killed over welching in 1928. I'm not sure what year they are in in the show. But we had to go through an entire episode of Billie Kent(the hottie above) not being naked. That won't do!!

Ah, didn't know that about Rothstein.

  • I didn't either. I cheated and wiki'd. I did know that Luciano and Meyer didn't have him killed. Rothstein owed a guy. These guys were gambling. The guy that Rothstein owed had fixed the game. Arnold being smart realized he was being played a sucker and refused to pay. That got him killed. Another story has it that Dutch Schultz killed him in retaliation for killing Dutch's friend and protege. I'm wondering if Dutch Schultz becomes a character. I hope so. Cool thing about Rothstein's death. At the hospital when the cops asked him who shot him he said, "You stick to your trade. I'll stick to mine."

  • Kind of a setup episode, but thought it was good in its own right.

  • I thought it was a great episode. Kinda sad Rosetti didn't get it. It's just a matter of time before that ho Margaret bangs another guy. I hope Jimmy's mom dies. She's hot and all but super annoying. I hope Richard shoots his face off. I wonder what was said between nucky and rothstein to change his mind about killing rosetti.

  • It was a good episode, but based on the scenes for next week I feel like it was to set up the next episode.

I wish that women would have strangled Rosetti when she heard gun shots. Wonder if Nucky will dispatch Richard to kill him? He has to die that sick *!%$.

Wonder what is going to happen with Van Holden or whatever his name is.

  • I can't stand Margaret. Trying to act all mad when she caught Nucky, yet she screwed his right hand. I hope Nucky catches them going at it a second time and in a act of rage shoots them both. Then I'll be rid of two characters I either despise or dislike.

Glad to Chalky back in the mix.

  • Yeah man. There she is acting all high and mighty like her shit don't stink knowing she banged the help and was really hoping to bang that doctor. She was so disappointed about him having a fiance. Nucky would never lose control and do a rage killing. His right hand guy is an IRA guy. That would have to look like an accident or in the line of fire kind of thing. Killing his wife would be even trickier. Maybe have her "disappear" with a "lover" never to be seen again. Van Alden killed that dude dead. "I need to dispose of a body" all matter of fact like lol Capone kills O'Bannion so I don't know how Van Alden will fit in with that.

  • Looks like you were one episode premature. Not too surprised nobody is backing Nucky. But, didn't the boss pretty much tell Rosetti he's on his own? Or did I misinterpret that?

Okay, does Harrow kill Mamma Dormity (sp) next episode? Does he go to work for Nucky? By work I mean a murdering spree of NY gangsters. How will Capone fit in after the Torreo denial? Torreo has got to be approaching his end.

Yep. One episode off. I kinda got that impression about the boss and Rosetti too but I think it might have been him giving his blessing to finish what he started. Did you notice his men giving the "oh shit, here we go" facial expressions when he showed up in the general hat? lol Dude is twisted.

I've been thinking the last couple weeks that Gillian was gonna die. When and if Nucky finds out she tipped off Rosetti she's done. And Nucky is smart. When he gets his faculties back he'll figure it out. The Richard-Gillian thing has been building all season. Starting with Gillian telling Tommy she was his mom. Richard loved his real mom and blasted Manny in the face with a shotgun for killing her. Then the disrespect of having Jimmy look like he died of a heroin overdose. As he said, "Jimmy deserved better than this". Nucky needs men desperately for the war. It seems to fit nicely. Oh and let's not forget Gillian has pissed off Luciano as well. Not a great prospect for ones future lol This would fit nicely.... Gillian gets killed by Richard or someone, Richard starts working for Nucky, Richard and his new girl(who is pretty sexy btw) adopt Tommy. For me Richard working for Nucky is inevitable. Just a matter of when and how. This fits pretty well.

Nucky spoke of expansion all the way to Chicago. That is where Al will come back into the main storyline. Van Alden will work for Al. That's coming. O'Bannion dies in these next 3 episodes and Torreo will give Al the business. Al could very well be Nucky's savior. I suspect Lucky and Meyer might have different feelings about helping Nucky than Rothstein does. This may be the split. Let's not forget Lucky and Meyer were in that blast too and while Meyer may have a cool head I'm positive Lucky wants Rosetti dead as much, if not, more than Nucky. In next weeks preview Lucky warns Rosetti's boss that Nucky is gonna make a move. It makes it look like Lucky is helping the guy. I think it might be the opposite. I think by the end of this season, 3 more episodes, all the old bosses die and the new blood takes over. Remember Nucky saying they need to set up rules that everyone in the room can agree on. That is the beginning of the commission that Lucky eventually founds. I think Meyer and Lucky listened closely to Nucky and like his idea. Plus Rosetti tried to kill them too. Whether they like it or not they are already in the war. Rosettis boss is Joe Masseria. I don't know if you know how he dies or if you want to know. I had to look it up just now and i'll just say it fits perfectly with what I've said so far.

  • Wonder if somebody will come in and kill Joe the Boss after Lucky warns him?

    Nate87

  • If after warning him Lucky excuses himself to go to the restroom you know what's coming next.

  • That's how it happened in real life. Well the news is out there so I'll just say it. This is a major spoiler about how Joe "The Boss" Masseria dies so if you don't want it spoiled skip the rest of this post.

On April 15, 1931, Joe Masseria was assassinated at one of his favorite restaurants, Nuova Villa Tammaro in Coney Island.

Gangland legend has it that Masseria dined with Charles "Lucky" Luciano before his death. While they played cards, Luciano excused himself to the bathroom, when Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, Vito Genovese, Albert Anastasia and Joe Adonis rushed in and shot Masseria to death, his four bodyguards having mysteriously disappeared.

That's a who's who of the original gangsters right there. We all know of Bugsy and his building of Las Vegas. Genovese got his own family that remains today. Albert Anastasia founded and ran Murder Incorporated.

Has Salvatore Maranzano been introduced yet? It may be too early for Masseria to die because Maranzano has to show up first if they follow how it really went. Maranzano and Masseria fight each other in the Castellammarese War. Here's the story of that war if you wanna read it.

  • I went and read the wiki after you brought it up. It'll be interesting if the storyline follows this because it will introduce new compelling characters. Not sure they will though.

  • Yeah me either. He dies in 1931. I'm not sure exactly what year they're on now but I know it's the 20's. Early to mid 20's if I'm not mistaken. Since it's not 100% accurate historically they can play with things. Which makes it kinda cool. Kinda like the walking dead not following the comics exactly. How suspenseful would it be if we all already knew what was coming before it came? Not very.

  • Holy crap dude. If you have CNBC they are about to tell the story of Joe Masseria getting killed. It's on now.

  • It was pretty good. They said something interesting that fits with what I said about Nuckys speech. They said that Lucky came up with the idea and floated it to other major gangsters at a meeting in Atlantic City. The only difference is that Nucky came up with the idea and everyone went against him.
