Cincinnati Reds thread (April)

No doubt, for Bruce to have a "break out" year consistency is the key. He'll be Dr Scald one month and Mr Freeze for the next two. While I don't think he'll ever hit for average like Votto, he's certainly capable of 35-40 Hr's and 120+ RBI's with a 280-290 avg. Even though it seems like he's been in Cincy forever, it's easy to forget he's only 25 years old! A LOT of people tend to forget that Bruce is still VERY VERY young (by comparison, Cozart is a 26 year old rookie).

Cincy sports fans never cease to amaze me. Franchise signs votto to extension a week later welcome division rival and world series champs and don't show up for game.
Whether its the bengals being on verge of
Playoffs or reds supposedly being a good team against a rival the Cincy sports fans show us how pathetic they are.
Ps: cardinals showing reds how to play early on in this game. Go stl cards.

Just guessing that most of the state of KY are either Reds and Cards fans depending on location. . . If there was a thread for the Cards maybe you would feel less likely to take pot shots at the Reds. . .

Interesting, because Reds fans make a sport of bashing the cardinals every chance they get. Cardinals won tonight. Crickets. What's that saying about "dishing it out?"

It was funny listening to the Cards announcers talk about Chapman's immaturity and how he struggles finding the strike zone as he continued to sit them down, lol

I like how Cueto has "emotional issues" for jacking a dude in the face as 20 angry guys from STL tried to drive him through the backstop.

The Reds' inability to put the ball in play is killing them. The Ks with guys like Stubbs are getting beyond old. Dude has no business in the lineup.

Reds are absolutely atrocious right now and are making the Nats look like World Series contenders. They couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat and Stubbs/Rolen/LF platoon is leading the no hit parade. Still early but I would sit Stubbs for a couple of games and give Heisey a chance in CF. At least he puts the ball in play.

I don't see that. Just 6.2% into the season, Cards will have a 4-6 span and the Reds a 7-3 span sometime along the way. As for the Cardinals broadcast taking shots at the Reds, it was likely Al Hrabosky. He was a Cardinals pitcher during the Big Red Machine days so I am sure he dislikes them more than most. I'm not too big on him myself.
Reds fans need to go to the ballpark though, they've committed 300+m in the past couple months, show the front office you appreciate it or it is going to be Votto, Phillips and scrubs for the next decade. Enough of the somewhat neutral talk, looking forward to the Cards trying to make the Reds their 14th straight series they have won dating back to last year, including playoffs of course.

Appreciate the input stlwildcat... having said that, i get the cards broadcast again tonight.... i might be bitching a little...Also, im sure the fans are going to give Cueto a warm welcome tonight, lol
