Cincinnati Reds thread (April)

  • Reds are on a nice little roll now. Hopefully they can finish off the sweep tomorrow. Would really give them some nice momentum.

They're finally starting to get some offense going. Pitching has been outstanding on most nights. I think the team ERA is around 3.70 now. That will get it done over the long haul.

  • Yes, the Reds train is starting to leave the station now. Even Rolen contributed last night w/a HR to start the winning rally. Arroyo pitched well enough to keep the Reds in it and while not credited w/a quality start, he certainly battled and gave them the closest thing to it. The Reds will contend if they keep pitching like they have over the last couple of weeks.

Yep. Was up there for today's game. Got boned, too, on the 0-2 pitch to Pagan before the HR. Right down the pipe. "BALL" If that happened in a BOS-NYY game, they'd talk about it for 20 minutes on SportsCenter, 20 minutes more on Baseball Tonight, and call in guest appearances from Buster Olney and Tim Kurkjian.

Too bad. Reds played great to that point. Very entertaining game.

Yeah, even the Giants broadcast crew was talking about how bad of a call that was. . .
