Drew Brees and The Saints... Unstoppable?

Im not sold on Alex Smith just yet. Lets also remember that NO is a very veteran team that has a TON of playoff experience. I think the 49ers struggle a bit but they are well on their way.

If Alex Smiths name gets mentioned more than 3 times it's too much. When the 9ers take offense all you should be hearing from the announcers is Gore Gore Frank Gore.

  • Dont forget about Kendall Hunter either. He is a pretty good backup when given the opportunity. I just dont know if the 49ers have the firepower to hang with NO for 4 qtrs.

i agree but at some point Alex Smith is going to have to make a key play for the 49ers to advance, i do not have much faith in him.

the 49ers are good on D but they are not the Ravens D from back in the day when all Dilfer had to do was not lose it for them.

The 49ers allowed ONE rushing TD this entire season! Never been done before. The record streak was something like 11 games. They may not have the secondary that Ravens team had but that run D is as good as we have ever seen.

  • If the Saints play their game it's another Super Bowl title. Simple as that. If they are clicking on all cylinders they can literally do whatever they want on offense and can't be stopped. I've seen the Saints go an entire half without running the ball. Peyton and Brees are crafty. They could come out and run the ball the first 10 plays of the game just to confuse.

The sad news for the 49ers is that to get to the super bowl they'll have to play the 2 teams in the league that don't need to run the ball. Running is an afterthought for the saints and packers. A bonus if they can do it. I think they can do it and will do it at home against the saints. I don't think they can do it at green bay though. That's assuming the packers make it.

Welcome the new generation of domination.

  • I did pretty good on that pick. Not so much on the packers pick. I just couldn't pick 2 upsets.
