Oh yeah. I'm deep into it. The Hound has Arya and they've gone into the wedding feast. I swear if some BS happens like they won't let her see her mom or they've already left or any other BS that keeps Arya from finding her mom and brother I'll stop reading this series forever!!!
Yeah I've met Vargo. The slobbering ingrate. I refuse to like Jaime Lannister. He pushed Bran out a window trying to kill him.
I think the mysterious guy on the horse that helped Sam is BenJen Stark. I also think Robb Stark bites the farm soon. The 3 leeches in the fire. Balon Greyjoy, Joffrey, Robb Stark. Balon is dead. I'm betting Joffrey dies next. Then Robb. All the talk about Robb's heir is another clue to his death. Of course Martin might just be wanting us to think that and will turn it around somehow. I'm gonna go read and find some of this stuff out!!! Like I said, Arya and The Hound are at the feast. The next chapter is Catelyn, after that Arya. So I better get some closure on this part of the story in the next 30 minutes or so!!

The only reason I don't think Coldhands is Benjen is because he tells Bran he really, really old. Otherwise I'd be on board with that theory. I think Benjen has a part to play later in the series besides being a friendly WW. Why else would he introduce a character to arguably the most important family of the story only to have him disappear in the first book? What purpose does that serve?

I haven't gotten to where Bran meets that guy. I didn't even know his name. All I know of him is that he helped Sam. Maybe I shouldn't read this thread either lol But yeah I have to think BenJen comes along sooner or later. Syrio as well. I have a crazy theory that Syrio and Jaquen Hag'gar(sp?) are one in the same and when Arya uses her coin it will be Syrio that she meets. The red priests seem to be able to bring back the dead so I wouldn't be surprised if Cat comes back. I would have thought Robb too but I remembered they said Ned couldn't be brought back because he'd been beheaded. And so was Robb... but he does have a wolfs head. Perhaps he could come back with the wolfs head for a head. Now that would be awesome.
A funny thought I had. When Arya kept trying to find ways to kill The Hound. Most people would be put off with a kid trying to kill them at every chance. The Hound is the kinda guy that would find that cute lol I'm just wondering how she's going to reconcile his killing of Mycah or if she will. I have a feeling those 2 are going to become a very deadly duo... but who knows. Back to reading!!
Afterthought: I'm really looking forward to Ygritte getting naked and plowed on a weekly basis during season 3 lol They better not leave that part out!!!

Wow. What a night of reading. I'm so happy Joffrey is finally dead but I'm not blown away by the manner of death. I was hoping for Arya or even Sansa to kill him. Seems like a gip to just die from poison. Poor Tyrion. That poor guy is going to know every dungeon in the 7 kingdoms before all is said and done. I'm glad Sansa finally escaped. FINALLY!! I have been wondering what happened to Barriston The Bold. I knew he wasn't done and there he was all the time. I should have spotted that. George got me on that one. Jorah should watch his mouth. Selmy would kill him as easily and flicking a bug. Speaking of George, that guy has to be a sadist. All the characters we root for go through nothing but pain and misery. I mean c'mon!!! Give em a win here and there.
I've wanted Cat dead for how bad she treated Jon Snow and for freeing Jaime. I still can't help feeling bad she's dead. Especially with how they treated her body. Robb. Well he just died for stupidity and a piece of ass. That must have been some piece of ass to get your had wacked off and replaced with a wolf's head. Not to toot my own horn but I called Robb dying aways back in the tv show thread. And you argued reasons why he didn't have to die even though you knew he did die. Well done at not giving it away.

HOLY SHART!!!! I figured Robb was going to die but I didn't think it was in the same chapter I started reading right after my last post. I didn't see Cat dying though. Not yet. So now Arya has no brother or mother to be ransomed to. Jesus Christ this is seriously getting frustrating. Well Arya is up next. Maybe she can rescue Grey Wind. She needs a wolf so bad.

I have a love/hate relationship with this thread. I have not read a single page of the books, yet I'm also not one to sit around waiting to see what happens on a TV show a year or two from now...especially when it might not even match up with the book. And based on what you all have said in the other thread, it looks like they veered so much from the 2nd book to the show in the 2nd season that it does no good to wait around anyway. I might have to get the books now and get started. I've just been putting it off for so long due to the length of the books. I'm not really pumped about reading 1,000-page books.
