His book "Hey, Rube" is pretty funny. It's a collection of sports-related writings. If you like his work, I'd recommend it.

He grew up in the Highlands and I think he went to Manual. Big UK fan as you now know!

lol Yeah, that article was pretty funny. I remember that game well. I put a hole in my wall, literally, because of that game. I wouldn't go so far as to consider the samurai ritual of suicide that Hunter wrote about but I could definitely feel his pain while reading it.

Who were those twins? Squeaky Johnson and his brother or was he not one of the twins? Remember that crazy 3/4 length backwards pass from one to the other? They just had everything going for them that game. I thought Fitch was going to drill that 3 at the end. Nope. That 04 UK team was pretty good, but not deserving of the #1 overall seed before. The 03 team is probably my favorite of all time, Jay Bilas said their defense "put the fear of god into you" and that summed it up pretty well.

That was stupid excuse I got after every inexcusable OTS loss where the other team shot open 3 after open 3 after open 3.

He killed himself a month before we lost that heart breaker game to Michigan State in 2OT(Rondo's freshman year).
He was right about Tubby Smith though.

And had his ashes shot out out a 150 foot tall cannon, which looked like a fist holding a thing of peyote, which apparently is a cactus. I didn't know that.
