I've waited long enough...

  • It got awful quiet in this thread all of a sudden. If I were a Barry supporter, I'd wanna steer clear of this topic too... the more "truth" we hear about what really happened, the more guilty he looks.

Don't worry Barry... I'm sure appearances on Letterman, Stewart, Leno and the View will save your sorry butt.

You prove time and time again why people get tired of liberals with this crap. Most of the racism you hear in the local small town bar is a bunch of talk. People telling jokes and whatnot. When it boils down to it these country people would give a person of color the shirt off their back and its been like that for years in Kentucky. Not sure what kind of twisted upbringing you had. I think maybe you are just weird enough socially to not have a clue what really goes on.

    I don't disagree with you.

But there's also pretty pervasive racism across many rural areas, and many urban areas as well. Many would say they help out so and so, or work with him, or let him play on my softball team--but they also decided they wouldn't vote for him or support anything he says.

Yep and we've also got a percentage of black people in this country who are racist.

For what it's worth, I see no need to apologize ... you didn't start the fire, you merely added your two cents to the thread.

The real racism discussion was stoked with a straw man argument; “ the right hates Obama because he's Obama. And a lot of it is racial”

It’s a set up that cannot be disproved nor defended as it is opinion driven and has little if any basis in fact. It would be comparable to saying the right hates Clinton because she’s Clinton … and a lot of it is sexist.

Additionally, you responded to someone's irrational and irritating comment regarding small town southern life. “You go into any small town bar and you'll hear exactly what I'm talking about. And that's everywhere. It's not all race but in this case a lot of it is.”

Over the past three plus years I have been to several drinking and social establishments including the VFW. I have never heard, not one single time, anyone say, I hate Obama because he’s Obama or I hate Obama because he’s black. Conversely I’ve heard numerous times, I voted for Obama because he’s black

In the case of Obama, racism is not an issue … at least not with the right.

It isn't an opinion. It's fact. In your Hillary example you're exactly right. When she was running against Obama I heard all kinds of sexist crap from the right.

I know because as I said I'm from smalltown Kentucky. I wasn't putting it down. Just stating facts my own experience has taught me.

  • Carl, we are both relatively well educated guys – Did I mention I do have eight hours of college and was a History of Hygiene major at CUNY? Additionally, I have several hours of an alternative online independent study program in Women Studies and Art Appreciation.

I believe your position to be opinion driven - I am not doubting the fact you overheard derogatory and perhaps mean spirited comments in the small town venues which you may have frequented. I would certainly stipulate there is a certain segment of the population which hates because of one’s race or gender (insert cliché here - haters gonna hate) however I would be reluctant to paint with the proverbial broad brush an entire political demographic.

However, we both know that a handful of anecdotal comments made regarding either Obama’s race or Clinton’s gender do not rise to a level sufficient to collectively label members of either party as bigots, racists or sexists.

I suspect when Clinton was running against Obama you heard all kinds of sexist crap from the left as well. You probably heard racist crap about Obama comming from the Clinton camp as well.

When I see one party, yours, trying to disenfranchise millions of blacks, latinos, young, old voters I see systemic racism. And there is no denying that's exactly what the repugs are trying to do. When I hear many in your partys, rand pau in particular, say they wouldn't have voted for the civil rights act I see racism and much more than idiotic isolated water cooler jokes.

  • Ironic a few hours after posting my last post Sarah Palin comes up with her "shuck and jive" line. It's like she was reading me and wanted to prove me right. And if you don't think her "shuck and jive" had massive racial overtones then you are an idiot.

  • Can we presume you expressed equal outrage and indignation when New York Gov Andrew Cuomo (D) used the same exact phrase to decribe Obama's behavior in 2008?

Were you critical of white house press secretary jay Carney when he used the phrase to describe his own behavior?

Were you critical of white house press secretary jay Carney when he used the phrase to describe his own behavior?

    1) Cuomo wasn't being racist. Thinking a democrat would use race against a fellow democrat is just ridiculous. It was an honest mistake. One noticed by the press and condemned by many.

    2) Brining up Cuomo only supports my argument. Palin saw that and how the media reacted. So then she uses the exact same phrase? That just makes it more clear she was race baiting. Then again the stupid bitch doesn't read so maybe she didn't know.

    3) Jay Carney is white. And he's being racist to himself? Irrelevant example.

    4) If all you can do is cite "examples" of the other side doing what your side is accused of you've lost the debate. That's just weak and a tactic used by the right constantly.

    5) What's so hard about admitting what is painfully obvious? Palin was using race. It's that simple and undeniable.

    6) Trump insinuating Obama only got into school because of affirmitive action also speaks to racism. There's a reason 95% of the black vote goes to dems and why the repugs have a healthy majority of white men.

To hell with school, I think Obama got into "Office" because of AA.... it really boils down to the same damn thing when you think about it. That's right... I said it...
OBAMA IS AN "AFFIRMATIVE ACTION" POTUS... anytime someone is put into a position based primarily on race (or color of skin), that's what it is.

Many people voted for the first time, because they wanted to vote for a black man... and many others (who have voted in the past) wanted to vote for a black man out of guilt or to prove (somehow) they were not racist... ALL of which, are idiotic, ignorant ass reasons to vote. That's just the facts.

His qualifications meant nothing, so in my mind, that makes Barry an AAPOTUS... does that make me a racist.? I really don't give a rats ass. coffee

Where's all the outrage on this board from the left AND right for Obama's botched, buffoonic mishandling of the Benghazi attack? He AND his entire administration totally screwed the pooch on this one... and tried to blame this (9-11) anniversary attack on a damn video. The worst part is... he ignored all the warnings leading up to this planned "TERRORIST" attack and as a result, Americans were killed.

How does Barry handle it you ask... well, being the disgraceful, low-life, grossly unqualified midget of a leader he is... instead of immediately reacting in defense of America and American citizens, by pronouncing to the world and to the cowardly terrorist that he (we) will hunt them down and make them pay (as Bush did)... he opts to sympathize with those who waged the attack. He sits idly by while members of his administration, his wealthy Hollywood ass kissers and his left nut talking heads in the media, all make every attempt to spin this tragic mess into something FAR from reality.

I guarantee the last thing he thought about was lives lost or the safety of Americans... his first thought was "OH SHIT, NOT NOW!!!... NOT RIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION!!! WHAT AM I GONNA SAY NOW? SOMEBODY HURRY UP AND GET ME A TELEPROMPTER AND FILL IT WITH MORE BULLSHIT THAN YOU EVER DREAMED UP BEFORE!!! THIS IS MY POLITICAL FUTURE WE'RE DEALING WITH HERE!!! WE CAN'T SCREW IT UP!!!! FIND A WAY TO BLAME BUSH OR ROMNEY OR I WILL FIRE ALL OF YOU BITCHES!!!"

He just want's it all to go away, so he tries to wait it out in hopes that we, the American citizens are too damn stupid to ever recognize the truth... and that he and his drones onslaught of lies and cover-ups will keep us all fooled. Obama, Hillary, Susan Rice... and ALL his other UNQUALIFIED gang members quickly chose to ignore the truth about what really happened and instead, chose to politicize the entire debacle. However, as more truth surfaces, what does Barry do... he rolls Hillary and everyone else, but his pathetic self, under the bus.

He actually has the nerve to accuse Romney of politicizing this mess... funny... because unless I'm the dumbass, ignorant SOB he needs me to be, I'm quite sure he takes advantage of every opportunity he gets in order to do that very same thing with Bin Laden. He uses the accomplishments of our Navy Seals... and the Bush policies which led to Bin Laden's death, to his own advantages and politicizes it every chance his sorry, hypocritical ass gets.

God forbid he should ever honer his pledge, as Commander in Chief, to keep American's safe... or much less, ever give a rats ass about national security. He would much rather dance around any Presidential obligations (where personal accountability may be damaging to his campaign, political future and self image)... than to ever man up, look Americans in the eye, apologize, admit he made a mistake and accept responsibility as our leader.

Oh no... he could careless about gaining votes or support by "earning" the respect of his people in any way shape or form.... much less, by being honest and Presidential. He'd rather keep pulling the wool over our eyes and continue to rely on his masterful, wizard-like skills in the arts of lies, deceit, fraud and manipulation.

His election, his power, his future and his legacy ALL rely primarily on just two things... "American Ignorance" and "Government Dependency".

THAT MEANS YOU!!! ... Do you fall under either of those (Obama's) malicious spells? If not... VOTE FOR MITT ROMNEY!!!!

If that wasn't enough to entertain you... here's a more "professional" read: coffee

    .

Strange how you've been proven right. Lol.

  • I don't dislike Obama because he's half-black, or Hillary Clinton because she's a woman. I dislike them because their vision of our country is contrary to what the Founding Fathers and the Constitution of the United States gave us to protect, defend, and nurture as an example for all of the world to aspire to. And damned sure contrary to my vision of these United States as I knew it as a child, a teenager growing up, and as an adult with the freedom to make my own choices.
They want to take away my ability to make my own decisions, and let someone else run my life as they see fit. I had parents, both now long gone. I don't need another "Mom & Dad" in the form of the federal government to tell me how to live my life, to dictate to me how much money I make, how successful I can be, or what I can & can't do generally. Or specifically in many, many cases.
I need the damn government to stay as far out of my life as possible, and out of my wallet too.
I love my country, but I absolutely detest my government.

Its not really about the government oppressing or running your life today, its about the possibility of the government oppressing you and running your life tomorrow. The government has gradually gained more and more power. We need to put a stop to it. It will get continue to get worse if we don't. You liberals need to wake up.
